Took the FAA Private written and out of 150 questions only TWO were on prepware. PLEASE tell the developers to UPDATE the database, because this version is from February and it’s already obsolete.
It’s okay. You’ll pass with the skin of your teeth, but don’t expect to get a high score on your written by using this app.
Highly recommended for PPL knowledge test. UI needs some improvement though in Android, but yes worth it.
Perfect for studdying. I found it very useful and accurate.
May 2020: The app is great but needs a big update. I studied & passed but scored much lower than expected. The Qs in the app didn’t cover any of the new Qs. Incld the ACS stds when studying bcuz the FAA is aligning the written test with those stds. More new questions coming in […]
Useful for rotorcraft knowledge test prep, would be nice if there was an option to bookmark questions for future reference.
Good questions but none of the Sport Pilot figures will load so any test questions referring to figures can’t be answered.
I used this to pass my PGL in 2021 with a 90%. Lot of mixed reviews lately for some reason but my experience has been good. Now I’m using it to study for PPL and the questions seem very good.
I’m very unhappy with this purchase. I’ve completed the Private Pilot, Rotocraft numerous times as well as the Recreational Pilot, Rotocraft and more than half the questions relate to airplanes only. Is this functioning correctly?
It’s fine. Works for the purpose. You can’t leave the app for more than, say, ten minutes or it’ll crash when you try to go back. I’d expect more out of a ten dollar app.
The one biggest issue I have with this app is that thereis not tool to measure the azimuth on the chart when asked to calculate a heading. Please add this feature and also a built in calculator would be nice.
Studied using this app for my PAR (private pilot license). There’s about 800 questions and it prepares you extremely well for the exam. I was able to get a 95 using just this app as primary study source.
Used this app to get a 100% on my written. There are areas to be improved like more flexible and rich progress keeping or highlighting questions for reviewing but I was able to supplement it with external notes.
The questions are accurate, relevant, and updated. However, prepware lacks some of the very basic features that many other study guides offer, such as the ability to mark questions, save test scores, and see your weak points.
Been studying with this app for my knowledge test, i take it this week. It does a great job explaining and referencing the correct answers and I like that i can study on the go. Only thing I find frustrating is I cant look back at previous tests to see what areas I struggle. I’d […]
I used the book to study then this app to test myself for each chapter. I ended up scoring well on the exam but there were several questions on the exam that I had never seen before in the app or book. Despite that I still found this app useful for the price.
Lets start by saying having an app is a great tool to prepare for your written, any help is worth reaching for. That said, ASA is not known for being the top choice, HOWEVER, it was priced comfortably and the interface is clean. I would love to feedback in full but google won’t let me […]
Great for getting a good score on my private helicopter written, but a few things I wished they included. Like the firefighter and EMS prep apps, it would be awesome to include a study deck of questions you got wrong or marked. Also, literally impossible to reference specific questions without randomly generating study or test […]
I haven’t finished yet,I found one study answer is wrong, please be aware. at study mode of private airplane (PAR),on Aircraft Performance question 37 ,Wingtip vortices created by large aircraft tend to answer is “rise into the takeoff or landing path of a crossing runway.” this is the right answer, not “sink below aircraft generating turbulence” […]
