So here's my honest take on PROmote - Army Study Guide. I've tested a bunch of army exam prep apps and this one's pretty solid. The huge question bank is great, and I like how it tailors the practice tests to your strengths and weaknesses. Definitely makes studying more efficient. The only real downside is the ads, which can get a bit intrusive. But if you don't mind that, it's a great way to get ready for your board.

Description

Been using PROmote – Army Study Guide for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you prepare for army board exams. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing. Here’s what you do: there’s a huge question bank with over 3,700 questions across 48 different subjects. You can customize the tests to focus on areas you need to study more. And it’s got this cool advanced learning engine that tracks what you’ve answered right and wrong, and then builds your next test accordingly. There’s also a casual study mode if you just wanna quiz yourself. Look, if you’ve got an army board coming up, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Not a review, just a question, Is this app regularly updated? For example is the new guidelines for AR 670-1 updated in this app?

patrick Schroeder October 16, 2025

Has lots of good information but is worded very poorly.
