UPDATE: Its working GREAT again after I made this review.SURE WISH THE APP WAS ALL IN ENGLISH! Worked great with the bluetooth till the bluetooth adapter failed. Been 3 months and I'm still waiting for the replacement. I figured out how to use the hardwire set up and that worked good for a minute....now it wont connect to any type of BMW. I work on BMW'S for a living and this tool has failed me!

Would be nice if I was able to code even without being connected to the car, then upload my changes once connected. Haven't used the app extensively yet but seems very powerful and I don't think there is anything even close to this, apart from a laptop with all the necessary tools loaded.

Becareful before buying a cable and using this app. You want to really need it ! Coding liscense is crazy expensive for canadian and don't worth it. You guys should totally do like odveleven for VW/audi : credit per code. All I wanted is angel eye as drl. Ive bought your cable thinking it would be one click code, it should come at least with some advantages. 70$ instead of 20$ for a cheap working one on amazon... Installed NCS instead on my pc. This app is now useless for me, not muchIcandofree.

Love the app. A little hard to understand some of the coding processes, BUT tech support is AWESOME!! BimmerGeeks was very easy to reach and remotely connected to my car and assisted me with with every issue I had. I purchased the master license, and I'd say money well spent. Thanks BimmerGeeks!!

This program gives you full access to diagnostics and data in real-time, even as gauges in many cases. The coding features are very useful and the only way to complete certain jobs. The company is very, very responsive in their Facebook group, and I have had several direct conversations with them via messenger when I had questions.

I have to say, I was a bit skeptical about this app, especially with the price tag, but that quickly diminished when I was able to code out my LCI taillights on my E92 m3 and mirror folding with fob my wife's X5 using a cable from Amazon. I reached out to their support team on FB and was surprised how quickly they responded too. I only bought the coding license but I will also be buying the diagnostic license.

Definitely needs update I have been asking them to do it for the last 4 months but nothing. can't reset maintenance, program battery, and many of the maintenance functions. Loved this app and everything used to work but hasn't in quite sometime now. And yes I uninstalled the app and everything nothing works even connected them and they been working on it for months. What gives.

I've found this app provides very impressive functionality, especially for the money. I can't imagine that anyone that has actually used it for what it's intended to do isn't extremely impressed. I've pushed many of my professional BMW technician friends to give it a try and they've all been very happy with it. Features and functions can be inconsistent from one model or platform to another but if you understand how BMWs work and how they are developed you understand why that is the case.

The app occasionally requires internet connection and refuses to work without it, with no way to bypass, right as I'm needing it to troubleshoot my car hundreds of miles away from nearest cell tower. The app was a good start, but suffers from poor quality of user interface... ***edited: updated my review based on developer's response (yay! First time since my initial review). 3 stars for now, until the "no internet lockout" issue is fixed.

Search through the whole app. Very impressed however I could not buy a license. Not that I didn't have credit or credit cards. When I signed in using my Google account it wouldn't go to anything else it like froze up. Good night contact bimmergeeks because I do not do any kind of Facebook or other social networks. Maybe if I could buy a license I could give it a better rating. Had to purchase a different tool in order to do what I needed to do to my bimmer.

Good App backed by excellent customer service. I've reached out to their customer service many times and have always had a response within minutes, the app is great if you own a bmw and like to work on it yourself, the coding options are very streamlined and easy to understand. All the features you need to diagnose and code your car are in this app, very much worth it for the master license.

Please fix the maintenance resets!!! Also sometimes when reconnecting it causes my phone to freeze for a few seconds while the app figures out what it's doing, I have a high end phone with lots of ram so it's not my phone with the issue. It's a great app but recently become limited in functionality due to bugs. I will gladly put 5 stars when it's fixed again.

Love it. I've been able to read the live data I need to determine problems, read errors with a description of what they are, coded almost everything I've wanted that my FRM1 would let do (some more custom coding options are still left out at the time of this review)

Awesome app! Lots of options with easy error code reading and dead simple coding. The license isn't cheap (NCS Expert and ISTA can be had for free), but if you want a nice all-in-one package with all the convenience and simplicity of an app, you simply cannot go wrong here. Can't wait for E46 support!

Quick and easy way of coding instead of dragging out the laptop. Don't get too caught up with the fact that there isn't a full user manual out there because any coding you can find on the forum boards, you can do through this app. Just find the parameters to update and you're golden. Support is amazing- I had an issue, posted the FB group, and one of the team members personally reached out within minutes to assist. The guys over at BG do a great job at keeping the development ball rolling.

It's finally getting better, way better. The newly added support for older models Gen1 type with a usb k-line adapter (for my e46) as well as continued support for newer models (my e66) Gen2 using a d-can USB adapter, this is the hands down absolute best program for the small license price. I'd honestly say purchase the whole license package, both the diagnostics and the coding, and there is nothing you can not do while repairing or personalizing your car for your needs. THANK YOU!!

I never leave reviews but I had to spread the word, if you own a BMW get the full master membership, don't even think about it just do it. I'm grandfathered with the iCarly app (apparently they now charge a subscription fee) and since getting Protools have haven't used Carly once. Protools is such a powerful program and it keeps getting better and better. The team is constantly growing and maturing the platform and the customer service is hands down the best, Period!

Works great. Was able to reset my reverse light short circuit and code out my adaptive headlights. It would be nice if you could browse the options without having it connected to your car. Also it can be hard to find menus and options a search function would be nice. looking forward to future updates. Highly recommend this if you own a e90 and do your own maintenance.

Incredible app. Fast, stable, and very powerful. I've used other coding and diagnostic apps, and protool is hands down the best one I've tried. I've been able to clear errors, update VOs in seconds, and it's even seemed to pick up stored fault codes other scanners missed. The interface is simple and intuitive, has clear options to back stuff up before editing. Compared to a scan tool or laptop It's well worth the money.

Diagnostics work as advertised. Have done some light coding from the popular menu, works nice. Can't for the life of me figure out how to get the gauges set up properly. I end up with 8 rpm gauges on screen. I've tried setting up a different profile. Still defaults to rpm on all available gauges. May be something I am doing wrong or overlooking. E70 x5d.
