Reviews for Publix Delivery & Curbside

← Back to Publix Delivery & Curbside

I'm trying to do my first curbside pickup order, and the app is telling me to "enter a valid payment method". I'm using the same card number I just swiped IN the store two days ago. It's also not opening the drop down for the billing address. Not sure what is wrong, but it's rather frustrating. I've used the app to do online orders for the deli with no issue, but you have to pay inside when you pick it up.

The app is simple and easy to use. Although Publix has historically been somewhat more expensive, they're usually well-managed with good service and selection. However; I want to explain the one missing star in my rating. Although I personally feel that the Publix deli; bakery and meat depts are better quality than their discount competitors, the store's delivery markups and fees charged have resulted in paying significantly more for the exact same items sold elsewhere for less.

Very smooth. I made the mistake of setting up the app with my nickname and last name, rather than my full name as it appears on my credit card. This created a few initial problems until I realized my error. Thank you for all your helpful services during this difficult time. I've been shopping at my Brandon (causeway) store since it opened, and feel it is the best supermarket in the world.💚

I enjoy shopping at Publix and the app adds to that experience. The app runs smoothly and makes my shopping easier. If I am in store, I can use the app to quickly find item locations. Using the app for online shopping, is quick, efficient, and seemless. Product descriptions, prices, and adjusting quantities in the cart are easily done through the app.

This app is operated by *Instacart* 1. You're charged more for some items. 2. In-store sales items are not included. 3. Limited selection - smaller, more expensive quantities, no larger quantity items listed. 4. The customer service is with INSTACART...NOT Publix. 5. Had to spend time chatting back & forth with the "shopper." 6. Took an hour longer than they said it would because they did not have a "shopper." 7. Had to wait for 20 minutes at the store for my groceries. 9. Started receiving spam emails just 2 days after using the app. I do not recommend using this app - poor service, additional costs, plus bulk and sales items are not available.

When you place an order it will remove items from your order before sending to the shopper without telling you. 9/10 times it's the items that were the whole reason I placed the order. I would not have placed without them. This has happened to me three times in a row. I contacted support and they gave me a 5$ gift. I'd rather they fix this so it warns you about the items and asks if you'd still like to place the order. The items don't even show up on the receipt.

This App has been a God-send on busy or sick days. It's cheaper to go into the store both by item cost (it has a disclaimer) and delivery fee/tip, but in a pinch this has been well worth it. I have had the occasional issue with orders delivered and some drivers/pickers are better than others at following instructions & updating, and although InstaCart says someone will be in touch shortly when reported, they have never ever been in touch. Even so, it has been a good service when needed.

Didn't receive our hot chicken for dinner, which was pretty important, order was for pick up and it was supposed to take 2 hrs and it took 4hrs. I was given the option of a refund, which was actually a credit on my account. Who said I will be back to use this app, I won't! prices are high and times are misleading. Use walmart they are more accommodating!

I have used the app three times now and two of the three times I have had the "shopper" finish my order in record time, submit their own items, and then mark it as delivered with a picture of them blocking their camera. I don't understand how this is possible especially for it to happen twice in a row. Apparently the "shoppers" can just be any random person. Definitely will not be using again.

convenient but horribly overpriced. some foods cost as much as 2x the price for the exact same brand and quantity for the same item from walmart. Items on "sale" are still way overpriced. The prices are marked up on the app compared to the in-store items, and then you are charged extra fees plus the tip. The deli doesnt open until 10 am, but the app still lets you order deli food from the moment the store opens, only to be refunded. It is not unusual for half of your order to be refunded.

The app was easy to use when it directed to Instacart. If my list from the main Publix app would merge or at least be available once it switches over to Instacart, that would be better. I like that my shopper can text with me, but I don't like that texts stop once shopping is complete. I don't like substitutions. I stick to getting items that I would normally get, that are easy for someone else to pick, and that are on a sale. You know, as if I was sending a husband to the grocery store.

Shopping was fine. Almost gave up trying to checkout. This was my first time using the Publix curbside and was trying to enter payment info. Used a credit card then a debit. Nothing worked, "not valid" was the message. Finally, while looking for a chat, email or some other way to resolve the issue I stumbled across the Account page and saw a place to enter my payment info. Ha! After a wasted half hour or so I got to pay! There should have been directions.

Recent update is terrible. You can no longer access your favorites or frequently purchased items. I had over 100 items saved and now I only have 33 in my favorites and when you try to use the filters, nothing changes. So frustrating! Now I'm forgetting items that I used to be able to see and add very easily. So dumb! Oh and you can't add any special instructions to the lunch meat items from the deli. I have an allergy and I need to make a note about using a clean machine and I can't. Why??

Re-rating this app since they did fix a whole lot of the issues I had previously. However, I do have a pretty large complaint. This application on the Samsung note 23 has no place to "uncheck" the leave at my door setting. I had to fight this thing for nearly an hour to finally trick it into delivering alcohol without changing that setting. it literally doesn't exist. I have already been through customer service and several articles to try and find it. It doesn't exist. I'll edit again if fixed

Great app, but the freedom of choosing quantities goes away. Like things come by the pound and there is no 1/2 pound option. Also, the prices are higher for convenience, I get it, but some prices have been set too high. Lastly, the automated response if something goes wrong can be aggravating. I like speaking to a customer service rep who can resolve my issue. I love Publix overall though.

So. The function of the app has actually been excellent. Great to be able to chat with your shopper. Send photos of items etc. Easy to add remove etc. But if anything is wrong with your order... youre outta luck. Ive had lots of issues with missing, rotten, and incorrect items. Submit complaints. But youll never hear back. Been almost 2 months since my first complaint. No response. No refund. Nothing.

Fairly easy to use app. I didn't give it five stars because there were some discrepancies between a shopping list and actually ordering online. There were things that showed up in a shopping list search, but I could not find them using the same search criteria when I was actually shopping online. One last thing, I spent $110 - it would've been really nice for a first-time shopper to get some sort of a coupon or small break in total cost. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

Best app ever!! It's so easy to add or remove items. I wish other companies learn from that user experience. Very easy to navigate, friendly and efficient. The only thing is that prices are different, more expensive. You can notice it when the products arrive with a lower price on their tag, for example cheese, ham, fish, fruits. But it totally worth it.

Fast, easy and reliable. Their delivery option is so much smoother than the pickup option. Normally the pickup option i have so many things go wrong, but the delivery does good all the time. No missing items, you can say if there was a problem with the order etc. If you want to save some money do instacart delivery. I will never do pickup again.

I was using the app for a while now it doesn't even open. just closes on the loading screen. Great convient app. Also, small suggestion: in the app when you're doing a pick up it forces you to choose a car. I don't drive and so there was a lot of confusion in store. Perhaps add a "pick up in store" option instead of just curbside.
