So here's my take on Pupil Distance PD Meter Pro. I've tested a bunch of these health/measurement apps and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works well - it gives you an accurate PD reading in seconds. The extra features like the try-on are nice to have too. But it's not without its issues. The camera can be temperamental and it took me a few tries to get it to read my PD right. And the app's a bit basic overall. But for a free app, it's pretty good and gets the job done.

Description

Been using Pupil Distance PD Meter Pro for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you measure your pupillary distance (PD) using your phone’s camera. Pretty solid if you’re into eye health and buying glasses online.

Here’s what you do: you just hold your phone up to your eyes and it scans your pupils and gives you the measurement. There’s also a try-on feature where you can see how different frames would look on your face. Took me a while to figure that one out but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you ever order glasses or a VR headset online, this is a handy app to have. It’s not perfect – the camera can be finicky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need to know your PD.
