So here's my take on qDslrDashboard. I've tested a bunch of camera control apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The ability to remotely control all your camera settings is really useful, and the live view feature works great. I also like that it supports multiple camera models - I've used it with my Canon and my buddy's Nikon. The interface could be a bit more polished, but it gets the job done. If you're big into photography, this is worth having in your toolkit.

Pros

  • Tons of camera control features like remote capture, live view, and changing settings
  • Supports multiple camera brands like Nikon, Canon, and Sony
  • Live view mode is great for macro shots and tricky camera positions
  • Lets you transfer photos from your camera to your phone
  • Free to download and use, no annoying ads

Cons

  • Interface feels a bit dated and clunky in places
  • Connecting your camera can be finicky at times
  • Doesn't work with every single camera model out there
  • Drains your phone battery faster when used extensively

Description

Been using qDslrDashboard for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your Nikon, Canon or Sony camera from your Android phone or tablet. Pretty solid if you’re into photography and want more control over your shots.

Here’s what you can do: You can remotely capture photos, change camera settings, browse and transfer images. And there’s also a live view feature that shows the camera feed on your screen – really handy for macro shots or when your camera is in a tricky spot. And the ability to start movie recording is cool too, if your camera supports it.

Look, if you’re a DSLR or mirrorless camera owner, you’ll probably find this app useful. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job and lets you control your camera in ways you can’t on the camera itself. Worth checking out for any photo enthusiast.
