Great app; definitely a lot more intuitive than other conduit bending apps! Only reason for the 4/5 stars is because you can't enter numerical input very easily for higher numbers (hate having to press "+5" 15 times just to get a single input of 75)
Reviews for QuickBend: Conduit Bending
← Back to QuickBend: Conduit BendingI rarely pay for apps unless it's just something I have to have, so I was hesitant to say the least. But after the first stick of emt I used with this app (which was a 6in rolling offset to a 90 with another 3 inch offset not to mention the box offsets) this app was flawless...
This is a useful app, but still need to improve, like the "Press and Slide" to choose your rise roll. It would be quicker if we just punch in the numbers. Beside that, I do not have much to complain.
Plenty of information. Very thorough. That problem is the very 1st measurement I used off this app according to its bend marks on a simple 1 1/2" offset on 854 smart bender were off. Ugly pipe bend. Had to do way too much work on top of the bend to make it work. This leads me to believe that most minimum distances between bends on benders have not been field tested. This was supposed to save me time, but now I'm back to my manual methods.
The app works great, I was a bit hesitant to buy it at first, but it soon made me a believer. We all know that the deducts of older side winders or on any bender fades over time, this app has them all down and it has the travel measurements too!.. it also works if you have no signal.
This is by far the best app I have ever used for bending pipe. Super helpful when needing multiple bends with a cut/thread mark for rigid. The fact that it is fractionally accurate is incredible. BEST APP PURCHASE EVER!
quick and easy... like your mom 🤫 I recommend this app to anyone in a trade that requires you to bend conduit frequently. saves time and that saves money. wish it had options for conduit larger than 1" though.
I've tried 3 or 4 different bending apps. This is by far the best. It's a great reference for those things I haven't done often, and to make sure I'm understanding the Ugly's book when it comes to figuring out where my marks go. Thanks much. -4th year AW LU 176
It's been useful to an extent so far, I don't concern myself with offsets & such as that however but mostly downloaded the app for segmented 90s & I had a tank that had a nominal diameter of 338inches & when I divide by 2 to get the radius it's too high , the app only goes up to 120" radius max unless there's something I'm missing? Using standard greenlee smart bender but wish they could remove the cap. My coworker has the same app ,looks slightly different & doesn't have the cap why ?
I'm an industrial electrician, I haven't had to make a segmented or consecutive bend before. I had a stick of 1" RMC and need a 180° bend 26" diameter at a height of 2'. I set up a greenlee 555 for the job and tested the bend on a stick of 3/4 IMC as a test "Didn't have many 1" sticks". Needless to say I forgot to switch to 3/4 for the greenlee so my deduct was 2" off. But the diameter was great.
Really cool, but should add some kind of slide, double tap, hold, etc lock feature to the protractor. I think it'd be way too easy to accidentally reset the zero when trying to use it.
My favorite tool in my tool box. This app is basically cheating. I've been able to make some incredible installs with this app. This app really becomes useful when you want to thread rigid straight and bend it to the right lengths "mathematically". If nothing else, I use it to reference bender specs like take up, radius and gain.
I've only ever paid for two apps. This is one of them. 100% worth it. Many people compliment my conduit work, and I always tell them about this app! It saved me countless of hours and dollars of material. I only use multiple bends feature and it works perfectly! The only thing I'd recommend for a change is the digital level should have a small defined button to actually reset it. I continuously reset the level when handling the phone.
Great app. One thing they could add is concentric bends. If that was added it would literally have every possible option for bending with any type of bender. Other than that, it has made years of pipe bending so much easier. I recommend it to everyone. Thanks for such a great app. Well worth the price -IBEW Local 73 member
The apple version of this app is laid out differently as it has features that the Android version doesn't have as far as i can tell. The main thing I want is where to put my mark, and what the app tells me is the distance to the center of the bend. I have to use the right deduction, and this information is only available for common angle degrees. For anything else i have to use the multibend. You cannot use multibend at the same time as the other functions requiring a lot of manual entry.
new UI is trash, as a tradesman I want simple functionality, don't sacrifice functionality for looks. wish I had not updated the app.
I would give 5 stars if that stupid slider BS wasn't a thing. I can't find out how to disable it and just switch to a normal numpad input. I dont wanna fiddle around with plus or minus whatever or sliding my finger around. I wanna type the dang number and be done. Otherwise, it is near perfect for 1" and 3/4. Haven't tried bigger sizes yet but it's a calculator, so I'm sure they'll be correct.
Please update your android version of the app and bring it on par with the Apple version.... Especially seen as we paid for it. Thank you ( 9th of June 2025) thanks for the UI for Android I saw it this morning. 👍🏻
I hate that I can't change the "between bends" and "first bend" on the comp 90 bends. That would have been so useful. I love the protractor, although I wish It would be able to zero out itself at true 0⁰ instead of me having to do it manually with a level. I'm still learning, how to bend and how to use the app. The main thing is being able to change more aspects of the bends like I had mentioned in the first paragraph, but this app is pretty good.
This is a fantastic app. Years ago I made a chart for all the benders I've used on the job which included info about the start of bend, the centerline radius, the deductions and the minimum distance from the end of conduit to the shoe. It also had the formula for the developed length of a bend. I don't have to use that chart anymore. This app does it for me.
