Been using Rain Alarm for a couple months now. It’s basically a weather app that gives you alerts when rain is about to hit your area. Pretty solid if you’re always spending time outdoors.
Here’s what you do: the app uses real-time data to detect incoming rain, and it’ll send you a notification, vibration, or even a voice alert to let you know. There’s also a map view that shows where the rain is moving, which is pretty cool. And you can even get separate forecasts for different types of precipitation like snow, hail, and freezing rain – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.
Look, if you’re into weather apps and need to plan your outdoor activities, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a bit annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on Rain Alarm. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this one's one of the better ones I've found. The alerts are really reliable and I like how it can differentiate between different types of precipitation. And definitely helps me plan my bike rides and gardening sessions better. The only downside is the ads can get a bit much, but you can pay to remove them. Overall though, it's a pretty solid app that I'd recommend if you need accurate short-term rain forecasts.
