Unable to connect to any of the three banks I use, including two that I regularly receive direct deposits with. Received an extraordinary run around from support, claiming the banks would be listed on the app when they were available in the program, but I had already attempted to connect to them from the app, and failed. Now I'm changing passwords on three bank accounts to be on the safe side, and demanding they expunge my personal data that was provided at the point of account creation.

← Back to Rain Instant Paymy funds don't update except maybe once a week (if I'm lucky), and then when they do take money out of your check, rain fails to do the deduction on the correct check. customer support tells you whatever they think they need to say to close out your ticket, and nothing is ever resolved. my issue has been persisting for over 4 months now, and has not been fixed, but I am constantly assured that the issue has been prioritized. daily pay is infinitely better.
I'm very disappointed with this app-i had 2 transfers left for the pay period, and a balance of at least $40, and it was just gone with no explanation or reason-and no customer service to talk to. I was really looking forward to that to get me through till payday, now I'm having to scramble to figure something else out because this app let me down.
Update: I think I identified the issue. You have to be on phone data and not wifi, which is not a troubleshooting step listed on their app. Makes no sense. So buggy and works about 20% of the time. I've reviewed this before back when it was working about 1% of the time due to email verification issues. The issue now is even attempting to log in about 80% of the time I get an error that says "Something went wrong, please try again later." Are all these reviewers not getting this error?
Unreliable and Unfair I wish my employer would switch to a different app. This app charges a higher fee than most the other apps. And they only let you have two transactions a pay period. And the other apps have unlimited you can take out your pay every day if you want to. I am a delivery driver so it would be so much better if I could have access to get gas every day if I needed to. In comparison to the other apps that I've seen from my friends, this one sucks. I guess it's better than nothing
Account hacked and customer service impossible to contact in an emergency, LIKE GETTING YOUR MONEY STOLEN! A convenient service if it were safe, but it is not. When I finally DID get in touch with support the rep was super nice but limited. Multiple emails asking what kind of phone do I have, is my password the same on multiple accounts, have I ever logged in on another device (which I haven't). Waiting to get the "we can't help, your money will not be returned, it was your fault" email.
Waited 20 minutes on hold for an agent before message said there are no available agents despite me calling during their business hours. Wrote an email to them and have yet to get a response, doesn't help that they're flagged as spam either so I have to constantly search all folders for a response. I've been working at a place that uses Rain for about 3 weeks now and at no point did the app work Finally, I've reached out in the apps chat feature twice to verify account only for it to break.
Everything went as described, for a short time; then, the number of 'draws' it would allow became erratic. If you need access which is as stated, and reliable. This app is NOT what you want. I'll be auditing my account later, if ANY irregularities are noted, I'll be reporting it to my state AG. I recommend that everyone else do the same.
Your app sucks! You can't attach multiple bank accounts to your account. You want full access to my banking information, which I don't want you to have or need. I can't seamlesly change bank accounts for direct deposit. Anytime you want to change anything it's a convoluted mess. It's like this was developed by a Chinese national.... Their stealing our information! Daily pay is a much better platform with a 1000000% better user experience.
Terrible app. Somehow my identity verification failed even after sending them a picture of my State ID. I try to contact customer support (good luck with that, took 3 days before they got back to me) and apparently there is nothing that can be done to fix this. In other words I will never be able to use Rain because of a mistake this app made. I ask them if I could delete my account, and I'm told that it can't be done. I can't use their services, but they can keep all my info. Deserves 0 stars.
The app does as intended. The only downfall is the $3.99 fee they charge if you want your funds right away, instead of waiting 3-5 business days (which is free). Most of the time, I suck it up and go for the immediate funds as I can't wait days for gas, food, and unexpected things that pop up. I like that it won't allow me to advance my whole next paycheck (only a small portion of it) and the app is simple enough to use.
The actual worst experience. If you have an issue, don't expect to have your issue resolved anytime soon. The last 3 times my account bugs out and I need help to resolve the situation, it's a 3+ day process. Calling won't work, as no one will EVER pick up to help you. Other methods? You will send a text through the app and have to wait a FULL day for a single response. You reply instantly and then have to wait ANOTHER full day again for them to respond. It's like this the whole way through.
If I could leave a one star I would. I had messaged them September 25th about a problem with the connection and banking, took three days for them to reply to me, got my name wrong, and then continue the investigation. After Oct 7th I didn't get another update till oct 10th, which was just a repeated message I got. When I told them Ive been waiting a month they replied with "I understand that. This is not a quick fix, but we are still working on it with the account manager." Terrible app.
Waste of time and space. Your hours take time to be approved, so you have to enter them well in advance of the cutoff, then your cutoff to withdraw can be a week before payday (depending on your employer), and THEN, when you go to link your bank account, chances are high that your bank won't be on the list so you don't have to pay the $3.99 instant transfer fee. Absolutely not worth the hassle and nonstop notifications.
Bad customer service, sometimes your money is there sometimes it's not. When you reach out to speak to someone it takes several days for them to respond. Calling isn't an option, even if you call during their business hours, no one is ever available to take the call. And if you complain at all, and I mean even in the slightest, after they asked you to rate/take a survey, they freeze your account and lock you out of it.
Customer service is horrible. No phone number to contact anyone for support. Only support is through email and it takes 24hrs to receive a response. I have been emailing back and forth for 3 days just to get my phone number changed so I can access the app. Still no resolution. This is something simple that should be resolved quickly. About to just delete the app altogether. Very frustrated customer. The reply I get will be "please email us so we can resolve your issue" I have been for 3 days!
it all started really good then my account was automatically deactivated, it's been 5 days now I'm still trying to get them to reactivate it. it's so frustrating because they keep telling me someone is already working on my ticket so no one else can look into it but this someone is not getting back to me even after I've provided all the information they asked. I don't know if I should just creat another account with a different email.
This app will deactivate your account without notice if you go on any kind of leave the time that you need it most.When you call to fix the problem you do what they ask and they still don't activate the account!!! After calling again you get a different answer.Each time you call is another lie!!! They can't help you if there is a problem !!! Don't get this app!!!

Literally unusable. I downloaded it because I got a new job, but it's not even letting me open the app normally. I open it, and after about 10 seconds, the app automatically closes for literally no reason. SOMETIMES, if I open it with a notification, which already one comes once in a blue moon, it'll stay open long enough for me to log in and check my balance, but not to do any transactions. This app is worthless, don't download it.
