This app keeps opening Shopee whenever I make calls. Very annoying and spammy. Also many scammers use this app. Pictures sent via Viber are compressed to hell and back and there's no option to send it at a higher quality. Calling and Ringing status is also confusing for older users.. it needs to be communicated clearer. Ads are inserted in between the message list making the app more cluttered than it needs to be. Scrolling between messages sent in the same week is more cumbersome.

The app isn't useless, but there seems to be a bug in it that causes only 1 of my contacts, to receive any message I send, in 2 separate Viber chats...and when he responds, I get his messages in duplicate in a single chat. It doesn't happen if I message any of my other contacts using Viber, but you can imagine just how annoying conversations can be when every message is being sent in duplicate! I've searched to find a way to fix the issue but there doesn't seem to be a way on our end.

I've been using Viber for a month since September 2. Once one of public groups I joined declined to load new messages, chats and calls were OK. I've cleaned app cache and data today mostly because of issues with groups, installed latest update and all chats are gone. Flawless. Additionally, permissions required for call filtering to work properly seriously slows down the device because of ad (mostly Alfa-Bank Belarus I even never looked for).

I am using this app and it works convenient. But recently, when I try to log in on a new phone, it is very hard to log in. Viber does not send me the SMS code or the activation call for OTP. I tried using mobile data, turning off VPN, and changing devices, but still, I cannot get the code. Why is this happening? How can I fix this problem?

Charges pounds for dollars. I tested the $4.99 option. I was charged £4.99 and received $4.99 in credits. The rate card lists calls to the UK as 2 cents per minute. I was charged 15 cents per minute. I'm suspicious of the reviews posted here. The top 2 reviews are 5 stars. Both were posted less than 2 weeks ago. One has over 900 likes one has over 800. Scroll past those and there is a long list of 1 star reviews.

Very functional chatting app, and a good alternative to WhatsApp. Definitely underrated as it doesn't seem to have much of a user base in North America. Two things I'd like to see improved: - Make features of group chats like polls available to regular (1-to-1) chats, even if it doesn't make sense - Voice messages include the sound that signals the start of the recording, and that shouldn't be the case

horrible horrible service, everytime I try to make a phone call, the other person I call can never hear me because the line keeps cutting out. tried customer service and they were unhelpful and couldn't fix the issue. decided to end my subscription and all of a sudden my account it blocked for some reason, still got 12 more days on my current plan. definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. it's a nightmare of an app and service.. it's a joke...

Viber is a popular messaging and calling app, but in my experience, it requires a very strong internet connection to work properly. Even with decent mobile data, the call quality is often poor. The voice does not sound clear, and sometimes it is hard to understand the other person. Video calls also freeze or lag if the network is not stable. Compared to other apps,

Lots of bugs/technical issues; for example notifications or calls not being alerted to a user. The no option of backing up data from desktop, only through the phone app, like it makes a difference if you are using the new Microsoft Windows feature where you use apps on your PC. The Desktop app does not accept virtual cameras like the one OBS provides. You can't, or are limited to not being able to share your screen without a physical camera. Just why? This can be bypassed with Camo Camera app.

Tried to register with two different Motorolas in Norway (on different networks). User registration clearly doesn't work as intended. And it is not possible to set up the app. As activation codes is not received (via either phone or sms). Tried to bring up the issues with customer service. They do not seem to bother to take the issues further with backend IT (those who are able to fix these general issues with the app, in what might be certain areas or markets). After what I can understand.

Viber has become a bad app and it is getting worse with every major update. I have lost a part of my personal data many times because of an update or a backup restoration. Syncing between android and windows is problematic. Technical support sends you off politely instead of helping. Ads pop up in your face midsentence when you type sponsored keywords. Themes have been removed leaving only black or white option.

Absolutely useless app. Trying to set it up on a new phone but it never sends the activation call, and after several attempts to get it to call me, it finally just said "Activation failed" because it blocked by account. What a joke. EDIT: And I filled out the contact form. I got an automated reply saying I'd get a text with a 6-digit code, even though the app asks for a 4-digit code. Oh, and I never got the text, either.

I cannot tell you how well the app works, because I never made it past the authentication screen. After hours spent on downloading the app multiple times, checking permissions, connections etc., emaling their support about four times, it still doesn't work. I sent one more message to ask them to cancel my subscription. I got a response that directs me to log in to my account and cancel it myself. As if I had had an account I could access... Unbelievable!

TOO MANY ADS. I love this app and have been using it for many years. however, recently, there have been a LOT of short video ads that pop up on the bottom left of the messaging screen, especially for the desktop version. I gotta say they are REALLY distracting, and every time I get on the app to send a message, they frustrate me so much that I exit the app and force close it, looking for alternatives. I really hope they will make the ads less invasive and distracting.

this is like one of the worst texting apps ever I do not get why so many people use it (to the point it's impossible to communicate without it because most people only have this app). It crashes so much won't let me end a call when I accidentally call someone everything is glitchy and takes too long to send my texts even tho my wifi is perfectly fine.

Been using Viber for 10+ years but over the last two years the app has become so unreliable that we're forced to switch now. First message previews stopped working and now it's hit and miss whether (and when) I receive a notification at all. There are also often long delays until messages are delivered - really every basic messenger function no longer works as it should and it's not just me having those problems but the whole family across different phones and OS. What a shame.

Doesn't support VoIP numbers, even though plenty of people use them for completely legitimate reasons. The Viber app is too badly programmed to actually say that, so it just gives a very misleading "No connectivity" error instead, when trying to login with a phone number. I suggest using the Signal app instead, since it's not prejudiced against VoIP numbers.

viber can't even verify my number. All I did was clear my data because it was taking up space and when I tried to relog into my account, it said "activation failed" and can't verify me. this is the most frustrating thing i've had to deal with and a lot of people have similarly told me they also can't get their accounts unlocked. Its also impossible to reach a live person for support and i don't think my ticket requests will actually be taken seriously. this is one way you will lose customers.

It keeps on throwing notifications even if I already dismissed it from the notification panel. I just wonder, is it really does not make any sense if I dismissed notification, that I don't want to see it in notification panel more than once ? No updates since my last comment... Can't use the app on a new phone. Not receiving a call. Now it says that I've exceeded number of login attempts. No other option to login!?!?!

By far the worst communication app! Total garbage and it's getting only worse, when you think, it can't possibly get more horrible! It's impossible to connect with anyone, especially recently. Messeges are not going through and if they finely go, then receiving person doesn't get notifications about it! Phone doesn't ring when I call someone or someone is trying to connect with me! Usual replay from Viber "support" is to try different network but WhatsApp and other com apps work every time!
