I'm glad I read the reviews before trying it. I may have been disappointed if I expected something else. If your intention going in is to see a diverse amount of faces, practice taking selfies, and make friends around the US- you're in the right place! I like that it doesn't force nonbinary people into misgendering outselves like tinder, and that I can truly swipe mindlessly since I can't read anyone's bio until we match. It is easy to use, no bugs, no complaints. nice design too.
Reviews for RAW: date 100% real people
← Back to RAW: date 100% real peopleStill needs work. While I like the concept of getting to see people unfiltered, live pics, there aren't enough users, and there is no distance filter, and to be even worse you can't see anyone's profile or where they are located unless you match. You can tell how desperate they are for users because you can't even purchase premium features like boost and super like, you have to share with x number of people and they have to sign up and make an account to get the perks.
This app worked for a couple days, but now I can't post my "daily shot" so I can't use the app to it's full extent. I've tried all the common troubleshooting you would normally do for a phone app to no avail. Technical issues aside, I have one issue. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to view profiles, so all you can base your judgement for swiping on is the other users "daily shot", most of which don't really speak much about a person since they all seem to be in a car or at home.
Location filters please?!?!? The profiles appear to be real people, so that's good. The problem is that there seems to be no consideration for location. I keep getting matches for people all over the country and rarely in my area. You can set you location, but there is no filter for location, only for Gender and Age, and it only seems to follow the gender filter. I'm 48, I don't really have any interest in 18 and 19 year olds, but that's the bulk of what's being sent to me.
Terrible experience thusfar. My location is off by 50 miles minimum, can't see their profile to know what they're looking for, the daily adds have no face pics even though they clearly state your face needs to be in the pic.. A disappointment to say the least. I had high hopes for this one too based on the advertisements! 😢😢 I say don't waste your time unless they get these issues fixed! I'd give it 0 stars if I could!
not very user-friendly. Nearly everyone it shows you is in another state. The only way to see where they are from is to awkwardly double tap around their picture until the profile opens up. the picture in the actual swiping part of the app is cropped down to the top half of your screen and hidden behind their name, the selection icons and the front camera image. If a user is 'popular', you can only like them with a paid membership.
I want to like this app it seems real, .however, I live in a sparsely populated area and after one round of voting, it has been 24 hours and I can't see any more matches to swipe on. I have one like from my first round, and I would happily go premium to see them, but I can not invite any potential users as all of my friends irl and on socials, at least the ones I would feel comfortable inviting are in an exclusive relationship. i I will have to delete drop toone star after another 48 hours.
Location about 160 miles off with no way to change it. Shows people well UNDER my set age limit (my min is 26 years and it shows me 19 year olds). No way to view profiles before matching so you only see the two photos, and that defeats the purpose of setting up a profile. Update: got a few matches and guess what? They're in COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STATES. This app is worthless
Honestly, the fact that there is no location filtering is kind of an app killer. Even if there's not a ton of users, you can't force people to be swiping with people hundreds or thousands of miles away. The response that, "as the app grows, more users will be shown in your area" is a cop out. The app won't grow if people get tired of impractical matches. Edit: dropped from 2 stars to 1 because no location filter is REALLY bad. Also, top user thing is really annoying (can't like without premium)
It's not bad. The only 2 issues I have is that you can't look through their profile unless you match and the filters don't work (I set between 22 and 26 but it showing people over 30s or around 18). Also a small thing which is I tried putting a pic of my dogs cause I like animals but it said it wasn't allowed. It's nice that the app is free and easy to use though. Definitely one of the better apps but it does need a little work 👍
I installed the app yesterday. Like any app, it has its pluses and minuses. The main plus is it has no fake profiles such as profiles obviously of adult entertainers or sex workers, profiles with edited photos, or studio-produced photos. You're unlikely to be "cat-fished" here. The minuses I have seen so far are male profiles showing among my choices even though I indicated by the radial selection that I'm seeking women and the contact form freezing when I tried to report this problem.
I'm intrigued by the app. I think it has great potential. Although I'm having some issues also. Location is hit or miss. I'm a woman seeking men, but yet every few scrolls I'm getting other woman's profiles as well, in a row too. I have some likes that I can't see, so I was going to just buy premium. I have to add 3 friends, noo😫! Now 24hrs later I can't even post my daily shot. It just keeps loading. Bummer.
not ready for Prime time. There simply aren't enough people around you using the app so it'll show you people from all over the country. Cool, if I'm on the West Coast, I don't need to see people on the East Coast and vice versa. Even if you swipe negatively, it'll still say you have people who liked you. The gimmick is fine. I like that it emphasizes taking daily pictures and not simply uploading the pictures of your last exotic vacation or a perfect portrait
This app either doesn't show people near me. Great concept for a dating app, though. I like how it is designed. I just wish I could see profiles closer to my location. It's a shame. Update on my review: this apps explanation about distance search is a lie. Was looking at profiles again, and after a bunch of people far away from my location, a profile close to mine popped up that had many raw app double-sided photos. So I know that it wasn't a new account. This app just needs to do better.
Ok app, no distance filter to see who is near by. As others have stated there is no way to filter the user base by distance, so I am getting suggestions from the other side of the country for the most part. Therefore I am not matching with many people. The idea of the app is decent and there are quite a number of attractive people on it. If you want something local, this isn't the platform for you so save your money. Glad I only got a 1 month subscription.
The idea behind this app is great, but without any way to filter matches based on their location, it is next to useless. Yes, I was given plenty of potential matches, but none were closer than about 500 miles to me. With the vast majority being on the other side of the country. Maybe advertise yourself as a long-distance Trojans finding app instead?
Overall, the idea is nice, but the implementation isn't great. They should allow users to do more without paying until the user base gets a lot larger. It doesn't make sense to pay when there ars so few users on the app. Adding the ability to filter by distance is also a pretty essential feature that's missing.
This is easily one of the worst apps I've ever been on. There is no location filter, so I'm constantly seeing profiles that are across the country, the age filter doesn't work, and many profiles come off as bots. This app sets people up to fail in dating unless you buy a membership. If I could give it 0 or negative stars I would.
The free filters do not work. Profiles do not report current location which can often lead to feeling like you are swipping on people very far away. The age filter is broken, completely. It seems to have no effect. In weeks I have not swiped past profiles that have liked me meaning that the algorithm makes no effort to place them in your feed. I do not like the UI clicking on profiles is clunky and slow. I would rather see the profile and the raw photo side by side.
Ok let's start with the ad saying all pics are unable to be filtered or be old pics. I was able to upload pics from my gallery right off the bat. the first match I was shown was all filtered pics. You can't review profiles unless you pay. You can't like profiles unless you pay. So if you text, it's a shot in the dark. I set my age filter to minimum age of 30. None of my matches were over the age of 20. You're better off going to the bar, or a club than using this app. And you'll spend less.
