it worked at first... I'm using an S8, android 9 (which I understand is limited). I installed the app and used it for music, my main usage for this app is the balance & band EQ'ing. I noticed the app stops working immediately after changing my volume and I'm forced to restart or turn off/on the program again. this is very frustrating.
Reviews for RE Equalizer FX
← Back to RE Equalizer FXThe eq box needs to be checked a number of times before a noticeable sound change, more often than not the eq is working but not on when screen changes between player and eq and has to be restarted, using paid version, the bass boost lowers the mid/ high range so unbalanced sound ,not an improvement from the built in players eq,maybe an update will correct it's short comings , using less and less as it seems unable to remain on for more than a song, needs more working features, not a premium app
While the app itself offers a great range of options and customizations, there are no way to make the app launch automatically in the background on boot up despite what's claimed in the "last update" content section which is utterly disappointing. This should have been the very first thing to be implemented and so long as this isn't addressed this app isn't worth buying...
Detailed user guide link goes to a non-existent website. Developer does not respond to email for a paid user, so I cannot figure out how to transfer my old settings as a file to a new phone. The file location is a total mystery. Note: developer did not respond to an email for 3 days, but responded immediately on a weekend to a negative review. Adding one star for a good response, albeit too late because I already wiped and sent back my old phone.
Works excellently with my Huawei Mate 20 Pro (Android 10.1). However, it often auto shut down after a few hours. I've added it to exception list in battery optimization. And to stay in memory in "App Launch". Any idea what I can do to fix this? All my other dozen apps do stay in memory when I set these settings. Edit: I'm using the "global" setting.
A perfect match for YouTube Music and Spotify. I like it for music and audio apps. Solid work with positive attitude and intent!! Well made. This is the true 10 band audio mixer. With this, my device sound quality has gotten superior and I can hear each detail while listening to the music or voice audio. This one also supports wide range of audio devices such as headset, car audio, multimedia sound system connected via Bluetooth etc. Very happy with the latest update.
This used to be the best! It always seems to fail with the Bass driver and you have to reboot to fix this! I've never had to reboot my phone so many times!
Having tried many free and payed eq's on android this is the only 1 I would say is worth the price. Works great after you tinker a little and runs with apps other just die with. Amazon music being 1 the other eq's refused to consistently work with. Also a major plus is this is very power efficient, other apps I have tried have been big on battery drain and the free ones with ads kill your battery life. If I could have 1 feature that this doesn't seem to have is to save your presets to your home screen for quick switching but to be honest it's not really needed.
It is doing the job, Good. No frills and whistles, but plain delivery of the task. I use it so much that I wish it would start automatically when I plug in my head set. Oh, and for some reason it refuses to go to the back ground uppon starting on colorOS in my oppo device. I always have to do it manually - that losses it a star actually.
amazing product! easy to navigate, with multiple sound profiles for switching genres. time and money well spent!
So, this is still hands down the best external EQ for Android. I wish there was more control over Reverb but that is not picking. The ability to control output gain is immensely satisfying. When using Bluetooth it essentially an input gain as most Bluetooth devices have their own gain settings whether preset or custom. I'd like it if you could control EQ settings to specific devices, not just whether Bluetooth or wired.
This is probably the best 10-band EQ software for most non-rooted android devices (Viper4android for those with root). This app isn't without quirks. Even set in portrait mode the app starts in landscape and then rotates to portrait, which is a minor thing, but still annoying. Also no matter if the background service, auto start, global output, or auto connect to apps is toggled, most times the EQ isn't applied until you disable and then reenable the EQ from the UI. Recommended, despite that.
My favorite EQ on Android! I've used this on 4 phones and 2 tablets, stock and root, since 2017. Be sure to lower the pre-amp to prevent distortion if you raise EQ bands rather than lowering them. **Also, keep in mind: setting Global Output WILL affect your alarm volume so don't leave it enabled overnight else you may sleep through it!** If the EQ stops working while you're in another app, just open the EQ app again and it will reapply immediately- seems to be an Android issue, not an app issue.
Absolutely the best EQ for Android! This app is so good I can actually say it is the ONLY EQ for Android! No other app even comes close. Adjust your levels without sacrificing output. The gain adjustment makes the difference. I feel like I have root access to my audio!!! Finally I found what I was looking for after about 100 useless downloads! 🙄🙄🙄. Thanks REEQ I will never listen to my music on my device without you now! Just one thing WiseSchematics how can I get a user guide?
The bass boost is good, the eq is pretty much the same as the stock Samsung eq in the sound settings. The option for more gain when the volume drops due to eq changes is nice. The main issue is that with wired headphones it creates a hiss whenever there is sound coming through. If you listen at low levels it overpowers the sound. The second issue is constant manual selection of the audio source. If you forget to do this the audio will sound muffled. It had an auto detect but it doesn't work.
This equalizer gives you unequalled control and has fine tuning controls to widen or tighten the frequency separation - I love it. It can bind to specific app's audio signals, like spotify, but for soundcloud you can use the 'global' setting. Expect that you may not have it enabled if you don't hear the difference at first - uncheck the box and re-check it a couple of times. That's a small drawback to exceptional sound quality. I definitely recommend purchasing!
BIG THANK YOU! Still my favorite after 2 and half years and getting stronger every day. It's not just an equalizer but also has music visualizer plus it can read peak and rms signal values. Audio output is really kicking and loud. Easily integrates with multimedia apps including Tidal, Google Music, Spotify, YouTube Music and can also be used for portable music production. Hats off to the devs for hard work. EDIT: Eq bypass and control switches works very well in Notification and Widget bar.
Great app, has a deep bass that works right. Other equalizers fails to do that right trying to give the impression of more bass by lowering the high tones, but that's not the case here. The 2 perm that a lot of people are afraid of granting, the app is not actually using them. I monitored that,no attempts to access the storage and mic. It will only use them when required, exporting/importing settings. The mic I don't know when, but during my test never access it. 600kb/small, low energy usage :)
Very good app. Not great for midrange, but has adequate overall balance. Sounds like it may bleed over into the other eq settings. But for sound quality, it is by far the best app I have tried and that has been quite a few. Has many features, such as deeper bass adjustment with 10 steps from normal to deepest. The reverb is stationary setting, but set at a very good setting, as to not create an echo. I like the way, being able to create my own sound levels and being able to save them.
I've tried other equalizer apps and REEQ is the best one I've ever used. It took a little while to figure it out, but it works great. The Bass Boost feature needs to be fixed because all it really does is reduce the mids and highs. But you actually don't really need it to get really good sound. I like how it links to different music apps and automatically starts. Or when you set it to global, it automatically starts when you plug in wired earphones or headphones. Works Bluetooth devices too.
