So here's my honest take on Redwing: Comic Reading Orders. I've tested a bunch of comic book companion apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The reading order feature works well and it's great for keeping track of where you're at. I like that it's crowdsourced by fans too. But the UI could use some polishing and it can get a little overwhelming with all the different reading orders. Still, if you're a comic book junkie, this is worth a download.

Pros

  • Tons of reading orders to choose from
  • Nice progress tracker so you know what you've read
  • Crowdsourced by fans, so the info is pretty reliable
  • Free to use, no paywalls or annoying ads

Cons

  • Interface can be a bit cluttered and confusing
  • Takes some time to figure out all the features
  • Might be overkill if you just read a few series
  • Doesn't have the latest comics sometimes

Description

Been using Redwing: Comic Reading Orders for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you keep track of what comic issues you’ve read and the proper reading order. Pretty solid if you’re a comic book fan.

Here’s what you do – you pick a character, event, or story arc, and the app shows you the full reading order. There’s also a main core order you can follow. It’s got a nice progress tracker so you know where you left off. Took me a while to figure out all the features but they’re pretty useful.

Look, if you’re into comics and want an easy way to stay organized, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Very good

Nicola Rutherford October 15, 2025

This is still in its early stages but very promising and will simplify the reading experience. More reading orders would be great.

Pedro Dejesus October 15, 2025

They stole thier order from another website and start selling a over price subscription for the most basic features.
