This is a pay to play app for job applicants. Plenty of free sites with much more visibility and opportunity to find jobs. I would not recommend this app to anyone.
Reviews for Remote Jobs Search - FlexJobs
← Back to Remote Jobs Search - FlexJobsthere is not access without a subscription, it says limited access but there's nothing except essentially opening the app and setting up your profile. everything else needs money.
I really like this app because it gives me valuable jobs while other apps seem to just play around. I also really like how much they put into figuring out what you really want to look for in a position. They also give you a bunch of different jobs. So far, so good!!🫶🏼🩷
I did not appreciate, getting charged, when I wasn't informed that I would be charged. In app purchases does not mean, you get charged monthly and with no knowledge that its coming.
I paid one fee to register and the next month they charged me a whole heap of money for some subscription I did not sign up for. I would like to be refunded because the app didnt even turn out to be all it advertised. waste of time
So far I cannot even get past the landing page prompting me to create an account. Entered in a valid email and password and it just keeps cycling back to the same page when I got continue. SMH...
Expensive for nothing. This trash app provides ZERO on return for any of the money we waste on it. They can charge you for access to their database, but their database is filled with bs jobs that aren't worth wasting money to have access to!
I'm not paying a fee to be able to apply for jobs. might as well contact a temp agency and request temp-to-hire positions only. then at least I'd be placed in a position versus paying to gamble on an application.
This should have a "skip" option so you can make sure you don't see jobs you've already determined not for you while browsing. considering this platform requires a subscription, this feature should be something already in existence as free job hunting platforms even provide this. also, we should have ability to state proximity of jobs interested in if we decide look Hybrid jobs. I put in my Zip code and Hybrid but still getting jobs for West coast when I'm East coast
what's the point of a job app that you gotta pay for - how do I know it's worth my time at all when I can't even try it out You could have it that you get to see like 3 job posting at least to be able to guage it n stuff rather than paying and hoping for the best Especially when people looking for jobs don't have money to spend
Your description says, "try it free with limited access" and you need to remove that. You can NOT use the apps features without a subscription as it locks you out of most of the job postings that dont look fake. In my experience, this app isn't good at helping to successfully find work. The application process through "Expert Apply" is wishy-washy at best, and at worst it just doesn't work. This is a paid job board app, which let's be honest guys, you should NEVER have to pay for work. Tone deaf
I see I'm one of many that were misled by this app. I did not mean to sign up for a subscription and now it's already hit my account twice. One is trying to go through now and take part of my rent money. I only looked at this app because I need more money!!! Now it's taking money from me instead! I want my payments back! I have gone into my subscriptions on Google play to unsubscribe and the app is not listed. Will uninstalling cancel the subscription or what?
AWFUL EXPERIENCE 😢 💔 Subscribed to monthly, can't use app at ALL 😭 shows I didn't subscribe, even though I paid the $2.95 for the first month (14 days apparently I was told, even though app said I will have it until sept.19th then billed $23+) ,app & FlexJob customer service says NOT ACTIVE, no records of payment but Google play says and shows active on my account. Cancelled subscription, tried to redo It , now it says "developer didn't acknowledge initial payment" 😕 help!!!!
they don't make it easy to cancel unless you have the app, charge your card after 14 day automatically. then when I said I wanted it cancelled completely, they continue to try and talk me into further subscriptions. this app sucks. 1 star is too many.
I am not impressed with the jobs or applying. I feel like it's all fake. has anyone got a job using this? It made me feel I signed up for a one time payment for a two week trial and then they end up turning that in to a $22 a month subscription. then when I noticed they only give me back half a refund! the website to even check on your subscription didn't even work! I am 10% thinking this is a scam and I'm not impressed at all. very disappointed.
Dishonest app. There is a category for entry level remote jobs. There are no entry level jobs on the app. All of the jobs listed as entry level say that they're not entry level in the job descriptions. To download the app, is free. To use the app, you must pay for a subscription. They tell you it's ~$2.50/month but that's only for the first month. Then you have to pay $25/month.
If zero were an option, that would be my rating. This is a scam. I'm surprised google allows them on their platform. They took my money, sent me a welcome email but never gave me access. Called customer service twice. First person claimed I never paid, even tho it was listed as an active subscription on my Android list and there was a charge on my credit card. The person who answered my second call at least acknowledged there might be a problem. However, he then tried to take my credit info.
I agree with a lot of the others' sentiments. Don't appreciate that they weren't very upfront about the cost or that you'd have to pay until you go through their little quiz. Edit: App works fine, but I feel like 99% of the posts are scams and the rest already have hundreds of applicants. Really annoying how you have to go to an external website to apply every time. Also, no listing has any sort of verification indicator, so idk if any are authentic until I go to the company's web directly :(
I can't do many things that seem typical. I'll keep adding as I find things. I can't exclude words (as best I can tell) that clog my results. I cannot preview what employers see. I want to be able to exclude companies that use "customer service" when they mean cashier. I'm 20 minutes in. I'm not sure what else is about to disappoint me.
After using the paid version daily for a week, it's clear I am paying for exactly the same thing I could get at any other job site for free. The only difference between flexjobs and LinkedIn, is that this app has less features, and less metrics to filter searches by. Really disliked the Bait and switch tactics with there being a cost to use the site, but gave it a shot anyway because it was cheap (about $3). The fact that it auto renews in 2 weeks for $25/month is disgusting. Not worth your time
