Reviews for RentRedi for Tenants & Owners

So far, the RentRedi app has been great. While it doesn't have a few features I was used to from my old property's app, it works and works well. The bank account verification process took a little longer than expected, but everything else has been smooth. I wish it had a few more options, like allowing everyone on the lease to make their own payments. Additionally, offering debit card payments without the same fees as credit cards would be a significant improvement. Good now add them Great!

This app rarely works correctly. I am about ready to beg my landlord to pick a different platform. It constantly asks for me to "reconnect" my bank account via Plaid. (Plaid also sucks, so it is not a surprise to me they're part of this crummy app's process). RentRedi tech support often asks me to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix issues. Nothing good to say.

Their import service won't pull the account I want to pay my two leases with. I had to enter the account manually and confirm via micro deposits. Fine. Except then it would get some access token error on one lease but pay the other. They sent me an email saying I had insufficient funds. I did not. 😡 I spoke with their chat many many times. The only suggestion was to unlink and relink my account. I even connected an account I didn't want to use and the same error persisted. Not worth the hassle.

Terrible app for tenants. Slightly tricky to configure. Pop up sales BS make it hard to just pay the rent. All transactions come with an additional dollar charge. It asks for feedback, but if it's not positive it sends you in a loop. It's hard to track payment history as a tenant as well. It makes an actual impact in making me want to not renew my lease if I have to use this (likely) spyware, profiteering junk.

If there was a zero my rating would be far below it. I used the rentready app to pay my September rent for the first time but can not for the second month. The app directs to an insurance add. No tech support. They say back in 30 minutes. An hour later still no response. After an hour the prompt said a support person would respond within a few minutes, ten minutes later you guessed it, nothing. This app has been permanently deleted.

I'm unimpressed. I'm supposed to upload 8 documents to submit an application, but I can only upload image files. So I have to convert the pdf files I have to image files, one for each page of the document, and upload each file individually. This is pure insanity. Then, when I went to pay the application fee, it wouldn't process my credit card the first three times. Had to wait 5 min then try again for it to work. The application review came up with a blank page, so I had to blindly submit it.

This is a terrible app disguised to be "easy to use" but has a horrible interface and rarely works properly. I was never notified that my bank account needed reconnecting, and then had to go through the whole process of trying to connect, only for it to tell me I can't link to that account. So I basically can't use the app anymore anyway..

Customer service hasn't fully interpreted the issue because their response is to do what I've already done. I made multiple attempts to pay the rent, over 4 days, with the same card previously used. I manually enter the payment information and it isn't automatically saving & there isn't an option to save on the same screen. It appears the function to pay with a bank/credit card is disabled, forcing you to link directly to your bank account through Plaid, and they shouldn't be forcing that.

I'm a tenant. I just signed a lease and tried making my first payment with this app for the security deposit. IMO the amount to send money via debit card was robbery. There are other cheaper options through other apps. A redeeming quality to this app may be that it reports on time payments? I'm wondering how, if this costs extra money, etc. I'll come back to update as I use it more.

Poor interface, confusing and contradictory instructions, and a difficult payment system. I have incurred several hundred dollars worth of credit card fees, bank fees, and duplicated transactions due to the difficulty of verifying which exact method will be billed in any given month. And of course, none of these fees are the responsibility of RentRedi. Not even the ones they themselves levy. This is the most difficult and stressful rent payment situation I've encountered in 20 years.
