Been using RideMETRO for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you navigate the public transportation system in Houston. Pretty solid if you need to get around the city without driving.
Here’s what you can do – you can see the real-time arrivals for buses and trains near you, plan trips with step-by-step directions, and even get notifications when your stop is coming up. There’s also a map view that shows all the routes, which is handy. And the trip planning feature is pretty useful, takes the guesswork out of figuring out which buses to take.
Look, if you rely on METRO buses and trains to get around Houston, you’ll probably find this app really helpful. It’s not perfect – the directions can be a bit confusing sometimes and the notifications don’t always work great – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a simple way to navigate the transit system.

I've tried a bunch of transit apps and RideMETRO is one of the better ones, in my experience. It's got all the core features you need - real-time arrivals, trip planning, route maps, etc. The interface is pretty intuitive and it's easy to use. And the location-based features like stop notifications are a nice touch too. Sure, it has a few hiccups here and there, but it gets the job done reliably. If you're a frequent METRO rider, this is a solid app to have in your arsenal.
