So here's my honest take on RiverApp - River levels. I've tested a bunch of weather and river monitoring apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The sheer number of rivers covered is really impressive, and the detailed station and whitewater maps are super useful. But I do find the UI a little dated and not always intuitive. It gets the job done, but it's not the most polished app out there. Still, if you need a reliable way to check river levels, this is a great free option.

Pros

  • Tons of rivers covered, over 40,000 hydrometric stations worldwide
  • Great for outdoor activities like kayaking, fishing, and monitoring flooding
  • Detailed maps with water levels, flows, and temperatures
  • Completely free to use with no limits

Cons

  • UI feels a bit dated and can be confusing at first
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the premium version
  • Lacks some advanced features found in pricier river monitoring apps

Description

Been using RiverApp – River levels for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you quick access to the latest water levels and river flows for rivers all over the world. Pretty solid if you’re into outdoor activities like kayaking, fishing, or just keeping an eye on flooding.

Here’s what you can do – there’s a map with over 40,000 hydrometric stations, so you can see the current water levels and temperatures for rivers near you. You can also check out detailed info on whitewater sections, which is pretty cool. And the app has data from 15,000+ rivers, not just in the US but across 20 countries.

Look, if you’re into water sports or just monitoring rivers, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need a river levels app.
