Been using the Rivian app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that works with your Rivian electric vehicle to make owning and driving it way easier. You can use your phone as a key, manage charging, get support, and a whole lot more.
Here’s what you can do – you can lock and unlock your car, warm it up or cool it down before you get in, and even plan trips to see recommended routes and charging stops. It’s got a map with points of interest and chargers too, which is pretty handy. Took me a bit to figure out all the features but it’s a pretty useful app overall.
Look, if you’re a Rivian owner, you’ll probably get a ton of use out of this. It’s not perfect – it can be a little glitchy sometimes – but it gets the job done. Definitely worth having on your phone.

So here's my take on the Rivian app. I've tested a bunch of car apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The ability to use your phone as a key is super convenient, and I like how you can manage charging and plan trips right from the app. The map with chargers is a nice touch too. On the downside, I have noticed some stability issues and the app can feel a bit cluttered at times. But overall, if you own a Rivian, this is a must-have in my opinion.

absolute garbage for trying to use one of the chargers that are supposed to be available for any ev. partnering with chargpoint only made it more unusable.
It doesn't look like Rivian has responded to any of the reviews, maybe they don't care. My R1s now don't open or do anything when I stand closer to it,...
Would be a lot better if the car would wake up and respect any command. I cannot use the climate control, alarm, open windows or lift gate, basically any function...
