Reviews for Roborock

Best Robot Vacuum for the price. This is my first robot vacuum and so far it's been amazing. I didn't want to spend too much so I purchased this roborock vacuum and mop at a reasonable price. It mapped my entire lower level in one pass, it has not gotten stuck or confused after multiple uses. I wish it had a little bit more suction power but it's not too bad. you can also adjust the suction power.

A work on progress. I had some stumbles connecting to WiFi, and it doesn't support 5G (it's 2024 guys... C'mon!). After that, I dropped it in the middle of the floor, and it set about vacuuming and mapping. It's pretty quiet, and all the pets were fascinated, instead of trying to crawl up my legs. It took care not to run over pets, and my own feet. It has some limited object identification, and avoids them. Wish the room editing were better to manually correct walls and add more furniture.

App no longer açcepts login and won't let me create new acct. (edited) Still don't know why the new account creation stalls, but that no longer matters to me. The login fail turned out to just be poor user interface. The option to login with my email instead of my phone number was disguised as an icon down next to the options for logging with google or facebook (both of those being horrible, horrible ideas that my eye is trained to avoid). So I changed my rating from 1 to 3.

Compared to competive robotic vacuums the app is very good. There are opportunities for improvement. Being able to create and name new object types would be nice, as identifing length, width, and height of objects created or added. Homes have outside walls, windows, and doors, stairs, and fireplaces, etc. Naming no go zones or new objects would be nice. Rooms have cabinets, dishwashers, sinks, washer, dryers, bathtubs, showers, toilets, ovens, plants, and stairs. Pretty good but could be better.

Within the first time of use it already didn't get the right map and directions for cleaning, getting an error that is doesn't know where it's at, and the in-app map shows he is in different room than he actually is, so have to reset the whole map again and again, just not good, delete and close the production if it can't do basically anything... (Update) still no fix, still gets lost everytime it is turned on, it doesn't even see where the deck is... The devs will see hell one day for this...

The newest update messed several things up. The vacuum has trouble knowing which room it's in and will go clean parts of another room instead. It's getting stuck on things it never got stuck on before and getting lost in the middle of the room. Update- today it got lost in the middle of the room "unable to reach target" and then returned to dock, except it failed positioning several times and couldn't find the dock and tried to create a new map, and still couldn't find the dock. It hasn't moved.

Just got the S6 today. It took a few attempts to get it setup. It finally connected and appeared to be working correctly. I left it running and after a cleaning finished, I can no longer connect to the S6. It never finds the robot. I've restarted the robot a few times and reinstall the app with no success. How this gets fixed soon. Not a great first impression.

I can't believe that this is the best they can do. It does not save maps. Editing maps are ridiculous. Scheduling also is very inconsistent and doesn't work. I tried to set a schedule for each room when I wanted it to clean but nothing saved. I have never had an app with so many problems. Not saving schedules, maps after all the trouble to set up, click save, then next day gone :( Another thing worrisome there's no registering this product. all the money spent on this but no registration?

I have a partially assembled device in the middle of the front room floor Creating an account should not be the hard part The app is in an infinite loop when it attempts to create an account. It requests an email address which is entered, then a code which is sent to the email and entered. The only choice to move on is to enter your phone number and get a code. I enter the code and then the o nly acceptable choice is to reenter the email, repeat, repeat no way to get out.

This app chugs so hard. Every tap requires a loading screen. It frequently disconnects. We have fiber and a WiFi net so it's not us. There are a lot of terms used in the app that are either vague or don't fully explain. The online manual doesn't help either. Half the time I can't read what the little ai bubble is trying to tell me because it's cut off. It refuses to connect and update the firmware. 2 stars because, there are a lot of settings and the UI is nice.

Used to be better. Lately for the past 6 mos or so it hasn't wanted to connect to the Internet even though our Internet didn't change. It just suddenly didn't work. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, relogged in, reset wifi, and it still won't connect. It also doesn't pick up well, even with new brushes and cleaned sensors. It was just above mediocre when it was new and now a couple years later it's not worth the electricity it takes to charge it. Disappointing

So close to being perfect. Unfortunately, drawing lines to separate rooms can be frustrating, as the app is very picky about where you can draw the lines and it can feel like trial and error trying to get it to work. Also, if the robot sees through a window or a glass door it will add what it sees to the map even if it's inaccessible or outdoors and there's no way to remove these regions. Great app overall, though.

the app used to function well. my S7 with mop mount used to stay connected and I could access it even away from my house. within the last few months though, it started completely disconnecting needing a wifi reset and initial setup everytime I want to use the app. it doesn't remember the device for more than a few minutes before needing another reset. I'm using a samsung s22 ultra if that matters. More frustrating though is that after the app updated it still happens.

Feels like we're constantly in Beta with things in a continuous cycle is working, breaking, working...etc. That said, at this point, the vacuum and app are generally good and there seem to be longer and longer periods of "working" between problems e.g. progress has been made. Generally, I like the app, and my life is much better thanks to the vacuum.

just set mine up as per instructions. the software seemed to hang up. finished the explore run. it didn't finish the map correctly and stopped 6 inches short of the charging station. I put it on the dock to charge. I had set up a schedule, this am it ran a little and stopped 1 foot off to the side of the charging station until it ran out of juice I think it may have to go back. very disappointed ☹️

Can't create an account. The "next button" to create account after all information has been filled out and user agreements read stays gray. I don't see a way to proceed. Edit: After creating an account on the website because it was not possible through the app, and using the device for about two weeks, it no longer connects to WiFi.

Aaaaggghhhhhh! I really like this little vacuum, and it works well. But about every third time I use it I have to reconnect, and then sometimes when the app updates I have to log in again (who remembers a vacuum password, which isn't auto saved?) and also reconnect. It's a little bit like having to assemble a regular vacuum every time I use it.

I believe the cleaning pattern should be "tightened". The paths are just a little too far apart. especially when considering that the rollers don't reach the outer 3 inches of the unit on both sides. Unit does good job cleaning. And helps with bulk of flooring. Definitely finds pet fur that would've been missed before.

This app is a pain in the butt to get working but comes with great tech support that is easy to reach by phone or email and that provides clear step by step instructions. I had to change my freaking IP address for the app to connect. that was a journey. However, the robot works just fine without the app, so it's still a huge improvement over Roombas, which don't work without the app. Still, please fix it so I don't have to ever mess with my IP address again.

Overall, it's good but with one glaring flaw. It will not let you send it back to the dock to empty, either manually or on a schedule. Defeats half the purpose of an auto empty bin. Oddly, you can control how often it cleans the mop. Why can't they do that for emptying the vacuum? Edit: Just found out that if you manually tell it to empty too often, it will refuse stating "dust bin emptied too often, try again later." I did not pay hundreds of dollars to be told how not to use my device.
