Reviews for Rock ID – Stone Identifier

Michaela Sell

I can't even begin to explain how I can only scan 5 rocks before I can't do any more because I would have to get premium, at what cost? I'd rather just get a book and self-identify. Do not recommend for anyone who is into rocks like me.

I paid for the app because the trial was amazing and I thought this would be useful to have. anyways I grabbed 4 different rocks that I know are different and all of them popped up as Jasper. I gave it petrified wood it said Jasper, amethyst it said Jasper. I feel like now that I bought the app it only gives me 3/4 rocks it THINKS it is. fun app but inaccurate

Absolutely useless! Every rock was either flint, quartz, or fossil. I started with rocks and crystals that I already knew to see how accurate it was. It wasn't accurate at all. The best was when it told me a mozarkite, a basic Missouri creek rock, was an opal. Kept my 3 day free trial for all of 45 minutes. Don't bother with this one.

had a free trial for a couple days and cancelled cause I didn't want to subscribe, they are charging me anyway with no option of cancellation. now have to go to my bank and dispute the charges 🤬 I have tried contacting them but I just keep getting emails about the charges.

a friend told me about this app. immediately after getting home I looked into rock šŸ†”. I didn't realize how much important information is shared...like a book of wealth in the palm of my hand. So far I am absolutely amazed. Plus it's a breeze to use the app... I will update this review after I have had time to get a really good feel considering I had it less than an hour. But the app is super easy to use and a snap to get around. Absolutely nothing to complain about and sure hope it continues

I tested this app to see if they could get anything correct. Out of 6 crystals, they got only 1 correct. the people who have left good reviews must not know anything about crystals because this app isn't very good. said that pink agate was rose quartz, they Purpurite was quartz and there is absolutely no quartz in this piece. they said that moss agate was quartz as well when they was more "moss" than chalcedony. there is no quartz in moss AGATE!!! I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE PAYING $5 A WEEK!!

The description said it was a free app. The first thing that popped up was a free trial 3-day or monthly or weekly use. False advertising through Google App Store. This App is not Free.

It does identify rocks. I was impressed when it ID'd my labrodite in low light. I couldn't get a more descriptive name for the granite flint or opal. It failed entirely with howlite until I turned it a few times, so Im dubious about its naming skills. Not worth 5 bucks a week.

this app absolutely sucks. my picture isn't blurry. my phone takes great shots, it's just how the rock looks, which it got wrong several times, after saying 4 times it was blurry. then, after the blurry accusations and wrong identities, it tried to ask me for money....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣you've GOT to be kidding me. Sigh. just another one of those zero stars if I could instances...

Opened the app after downloading to see whether or not I'd be able to ID a couple stones I have, but am unsure about–had to IMMEDIATELY log in with Google or create a seperate account. Once I got past THAT, the app wouldn't even stay open long enough to find and review the settings–it crashed at least 6 times in the space of 30 seconds. I might be stubborn, but even I'M not dealing with the headache that'd be caused, if I bothered keeping it–so needless to say, I uninstalled it just as quick.
