So here's my honest take on Rock Identifier: Stone ID. I've tested a bunch of geology and nature apps, and this one's pretty solid overall. The rock identification is impressive when it works, and I like how you can build your own collection in the app. But it does have some issues - the accuracy isn't 100% reliable, and it can be a bit glitchy at times. Still, for a free app it's worth downloading if you're into this kind of thing.

Description

Been using Rock Identifier: Stone ID for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you take a photo of a rock and it’ll tell you what kind it is. Pretty solid if you’re into geology and that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do – you just snap a pic of the rock and the app analyzes it. There’s also a database with info on different rocks, which is pretty cool. And you can save your rock photos and collection in the app, which is a nice feature.

Look, if you’re into learning about rocks and minerals, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ID accuracy can be hit or miss sometimes – but overall it does a good job. Worth checking out if you’re curious about the rocks around you.

First of all, there is no instructions of what to do to access the app. Second, and this is a big, bad one, you get redirected to a distribution page...
