Since the upgrade I don't receive notifications for my new messages. It keeps crashing and quite often it doesn't recognise that I am online (network and WiFi is fine for anything else). When I click to read my messages it shows white boxes. I have to click on contacts and back to messages in order for messages to appear. I have been using gayromeo, now planet romeo for almost 15 years and I am very disappointed with this app.

Very unreliable for messaging and ALWAYS has been!! Whenever I get a message from someone I NEVER get a notification!!! Yes I have message notifications enabled, no notifications have been blocked. I have paid for the Plus version too!!! This is nuts!!! This has been going on for MONTHS AND MONTHS and it's VERY ANNOYING because it STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED!!!! When will it finally be fixed!?!? I am NOT the only one having this problem either!!!
It has used to be a good app . Now too many fake profiles. A lot of those who put London in their location, are hundreds of miles away, often in Russia, asking for your email right after the first hello. I don't believe the developers are actually doing anything about it. Instead, they give you a limit of users you can block and ask to pay for extra. And this limit runs out in a day if you check every message you receive.

The 'add a profile picture' is totally broken, unresponsive and can't do anything about it to move forward.
Every single time since rejoining earlier in the year, I receive the 'photo uploading' notification...its so annoying as all my photos successfully uploaded to my profile months ago. I contacted via email to ask for help...told to log out/in, install updates, delete photos and reupload and when none of those worked, the staff member said that a technician would contact me...4 months later and no contact...and still the 'photo uploading' notification appears, every single time I open the app 🤬
Seems like a scam these days. They want me to load a selfie with a hand written note showing my username and user id number to activate my account. Crazy request. I'll be on other hookup apps from now on.
Verification is straight up broken. It sends the link to your email but only shows a blank page when clicked. Tried on phone and PC + other browsers.

its a great app since it's free but I cannot use the app anymore. I am not banned it just says failed confecționate but I can use the web, which sucks.
The add photo stuff in creating account is still broken after alot of months and never been fixed. It just waste my time
Double standards, poor filters The app tolerates endless spam from “sugar daddies” and fake accounts without action, but the moment you set clear boundaries in your profile (like writing NO SUGAR DADDY), you get flagged or blocked. Instead of protecting users from harassment, the system punishes the ones who want genuine connections and honesty. Support doesn’t read context — they only pick up keywords. That means authenticity is penalized, while the real problems slide.
After many years as a paying customer, I did not extend my plus subscription. It's just not worth it. The product hasn't evolved at all, but the price did. Changes were often setbacks and the quality is not there It's downtime and lack of actual verification. The userbase has declined and it's probably a matter of time before I delete my account too. A platform with a lot of potential and EU roots has let the opportunity slide. Too bad.
I would like to filter on "eye" color, just like many years ago, this is a real deal breaker, can't understand why you remove such a great feature!

unable to login and open eventhough typed my correct username, phone number and correct password that i used yesterday and my four years journey in Romeo planet app. i am a paid member. it comes as the user name and password are incorrect. when i reset another password, it comes as it is not secured. i restarted. and no use.
Every year Romeo takes more and more and more things that used to be free and started charging for everything & blocking most valuable parts of the app. It's better to look at other apps as this one is slowly becoming a joke. Very little value, it's very buggy & crashes often. Many times the site is down all while raising the price and cutting the free areas to the bone . Find any other app , they just keep raising the price & cutting it's free areas . I used to really like it, it's a joke now.
Can't even create an account, the app doesn't open my gallery when uploading the mandatory profile pic when you start out. I just get soft locked on that screen despite redownloading the app and the app having the right permissions. Unusable.
