Description
I’ve been using Root Checker Pro for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you check if your Android device is properly rooted and has BusyBox installed. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can run a quick root check to see if you’ve got full superuser access. And there’s also an advanced mode that gives you a ton of technical details, like the root file locations, SELinux status, and the system PATH. Took me a while to figure all that stuff out but it’s useful if you’re a power user.
Look, if you’re into modding your Android device and need to make sure you’ve got proper root access, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI is a little dated – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Root Checker Pro. I've tested a bunch of root checker and system info apps, and this one's pretty solid. The root detection is reliable, and the advanced details are great if you're a tinkerer. But it's not the prettiest app out there, and the ads can get annoying if you don't pay. Still, it's free and does what it promises, so I'd say it's worth a download if you need to check your root status.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Reliable root and BusyBox detection
- Tons of advanced technical details for power users
- Free to use, no need to pay for the core features
- Works well on older Android devices
Cons
- UI looks a bit dated and clunky
- Ads can be annoying if you don't pay for the pro version
- May be overkill for casual users just wanting to check root
