The app was working beautifully when I first discovered it. As a home health nurse, the app was doing everything I needed it to do. I am a paid subscriber, but it seems to keep glitching and not optimizing my route! I often have to delete the app and redownload it in its order for it to open. Very frustrating.
Reviews for Route4Me Route Planner
← Back to Route4Me Route PlannerThis app is decent when it's actually working. Unfortunately there is a list of constant issues that prevent you from working smoothly. Sometimes you have to take up to 10 photos before it actually saves one for you to continue. I've had my entire route disappear multiple times and it doesn't come back for 20 mins. Even after restarting my phone. You also get a "not on route" message for packages that were scanned to route prior to starting. This app adds an extra hour to the work day.
So the app itself was great. However, I haven't needed the app since September when I left the inspection job I was using it for. Since then I had long forgotten that it was set up to auto renew. March 26th it auto renewed. I contacted Route4me to cancel and get a refund. They told me i had to contact Google Play, so I did. Google told me they can't refund the purchase and to contact Route4me. So I went back to Route4me who proceeded to tell me they can't and to talk to Google.
Not what I was hoping it was. This app does nothing more then Google map already does. If you pay for it you can simply add more stops at a time then using google maps. I have a list of 100 addresses that are not in any order, I need an app that will organize the stops for me. I need it to tell me the best starting point based on my current location. This app only plots a path between the addresses you put in, and only in the order you enter them.
routes great, but would like the option to only end up on the address side of the road. For most fertilizer and pest control companies the hose and reel are on the passenger side of the vehicle. it would be helpful to route the quickest route while ending up with the address on the passenger side of the truck. having to figure these turns out when you get there manually takes a few minutes each stop and at 20 stops average a day that is a possible hour worth of time that it cost us.
I really wanted to like this application, but a lack of certain basic functionalities made it difficult. In the middle of a 25 stop route yesterday, I accidentally tapped the big Optimize button. This immediately caused the application to "re-optimize" my route which completely changed the order of my stops and made the route MUCH less efficient. Some type of confirmation before re-optimizing is needed. On top of that, every time I press the "show on map" button, the application closes.
If you don't plan on paying $10 a month don't bother with this app. It's pretty good with the subscription but if you don't have this subscription and try to use the free version it literally does not work. I spent over 20 minutes making a route this morning only to find out that it would not optimize and when I contacted the help center the person helping me said the only thing I could do was subscribe to the paid version.
I would LOVE this app if it allowed me to see my notes for my accounts without having to add them to my route.... some places its merely a phone call but i cant do anything with it outside of adding it to my route, adding my note, then deleting it from my route. Also, you can't even see notes in the account unless it's on ur route. Outside of that frustration, i really like it
This is my 3rd or 4th Routing app. There is another I like better, but it's more expensive. There's some bugs out lack of features that I've seen. Itsends Google maps a range instead of the actual address at times. If I don't catch it, I'm sent on a wild goose chase. It took me a day to figure this out. When I called tech support, they said other people complain but it's not them. No other app has done this. Also, no way to carry route forward to next day minus previous days visits.
This was a really great free routing app. 10 routes per month with unlimited stops was great for my FB gifting group. Then they changed it to 10 stops/route, which I struggled with. But the origin counts as 2 stops! And it's duplicating stops and not letting me delete them, keeping me over 10! Sad money grab, when there are other, more user friendly free apps that do the same!
I had lots of hope for this app. I did the 7-day trial. I love the route optimization. I really loved scanning addresses in from a list. I did not love being navigated everywhere EXCEPT the actual addresses. I would end up somewhere random, then check the address, only to find that the app is feeding address ranges into navigation, and not the actual addresses. Every address, every time. Yeah... not paying for that tomfoolery.
I loved the app. I was able to preroute everything. But 2 things keep it from being 5 *. First and foremost no way to print the driving directions. Where we travel we lose cell phones and need printed backup. You can send the route to email but not the actual driving directions. The 2nd huge drawback is the route is only available a week with out paying. Another reason you need to be able to print. Nice try but wont work for me.
Route 4Me is not night friendly. When you scan make sure you have a flashlight. The font is too light and small. I struggle to see if you have a drop off or pick up you have to skip locations in between then unskip them. After completing your stop it doesn't go away. You have to scroll down until you find your next location everytime. If you skip it it turns yellow just like the completed items. If you don't have any drop off or pickup this is the app for you.
Great Instability if left open too long. I should not have to buy the web version and upload the stops that way. Unfortunately I was told that was the only way. Either way it's still unstable. It freezes or crashes. Why offer the cheaper version if you're forcing people to by the web version for $100+ per month. That's crazy. Do better.
I cannot say the app is bad because I never got to even try it. The app does not have an option to import stops from the actual shipping labels. For those of us that don't get the route on paper or any other form that is not digital, it is impossible to use the app where there is no option to import the route from the actual labels. We use the amazon flex app to scan individual bags containing the packages, and the app gets the information (delivery adresses) of the individual packages inside.
Update of my review: Last year it was a great App, works well to set up a route of many stops. Intergrates with Google maps to give you GPS turn by turn directions by voice. This year, the App reaches 10 optimizations just while inputting addresses, I believe it is ploy to make you buy the App. Used it once a year to make a Christmas lights viewing route, no thanks, not buying it for very occasionally use!
Edit for fairness: this review is as a non-subscriber who installed the app as directed by a service provider coming to my home. In that setting, the app provided no value, because the location information was not GPS-based -- it showed only planned locations that never changed. One assumes that a paid subscription would provide full functionality. I've used other tracking apps that provided realtime/dynamic location information at the free level.
Using for the 1st time. Takes a while to set up and get familiar with menu. I'm planning my route and we'll see how things go. Then hopefully I can come back and give it a real review. After using, found it very cumbersome. Would not sync w BT. The point stop feature that allows you to put in various places between destinations is great. Wish it had a gas station locator. Continued to falter through city. Loss in mountains. This is the trial free version. Not sure it's worth spending $$ on it.
When I go to enter a route from contact's in phone it won't let me add customer to route by saying that the phone number is not valid. I have to delete the phone number of each stop so I can load contact. When I search for contact's with the same name it puts them in random, before it was in alphabetical order. It worked fine before the new update. Please so I'll be your problem.
I've had this app for 6 years, and it has great. 6 they just did an update, and it no longer works for me. I used to base my day and week on the locations marked on the map that was completed and not completed. Now, on the map, it no longer shows that you completed that stop. It only shows it on the list. Which is useless to me.
