Description
Been using SaferCar for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that keeps you up to date on car safety recalls. Pretty solid if you’re into automotive stuff.
Here’s what you do: you can enter your vehicle’s VIN number and it’ll alert you if there’s a recall on your car, tires, car seats, or other related products. There’s also an option to get push notifications when something pops up. And you can add in VINs for all your vehicles – it’s got a cool virtual garage feature.
Look, if you’re the type that likes to stay on top of car safety, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little buggy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to make sure your ride is running safe and sound.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on SaferCar. I've tested a bunch of car-related apps and this one's pretty good. And the recall alerts are super helpful and I like that you can track multiple vehicles. It's not the flashiest app out there, but it's reliable and gets the job done. Only real downside is the occasional glitch, but the dev team seems to fix those pretty quickly.

Entered year, make, and model. THEN could enter VIN. Simply typed it in (it's only 17 characters). Done. While instructions might be clearer, not difficult and worked for me.
