It’s the best app so far to stay alerted for any recalls on your vehicle so you can schedule a appointment and have the recall repaired and not have to worry about anything.

Downloaded the app for the first time, and the only years available or that show on my end for BMW’s are 2011 and only list about 7 options, none of which apply to me.

Entered year, make, and model. THEN could enter VIN. Simply typed it in (it’s only 17 characters). Done. While instructions might be clearer, not difficult and worked for me.

Could not add more than one vehicle using android app; I reinstalled the app and now the + sign appears where it was not showing previously. This is good to go now and working well.

Would not let me enter my VIN. I had to select the car by year maker model. When I did it showed zero recalls when I know there are two outstanding. Don’t waste your time with this app.

I usually just delete it and re- install. Otherwise, it’s very informative and thank you for that. Very quick to respond to requests accordingly. Now if the dealerships can just follow suit, that would be phenomenal!!!! lol

Does not have a Chevy Suburban in list. cannot find recall information in vehicle is not listed. so I have to uninstall it because if a Suburban is not on the list that means that I am the only one who has ever purchased one.

Not quite. After going through the intro screens it comes up with a box to enter your vehicle, I paste my VIN number in, but it wants year make & model. Come on, that’s easy. And I have an account directly with an nhtsa that has my cars, this should link to that. Ugh

Why can’t I add vehicles by VIN? Two vehicles of the same year, make, and model can have different recalls. If we can’t add by VIN the results could show false positives. [Edit] Thank you for the quick response awesome app!

Easy install but lacking in esthetics and features. The app is just a search tool (for your vehicle) with results displayed from the nhtsa web site in a cluttered browser window. No automatic notifications as recalls are announced. Nevertheless car owners should be aware about their car’s safety recall.

User friendly, accurate, effective, resourceful! LOVE that it takes the hassle & worry out of checking recalls, and for free! It simplifies life by alerting you on cars you register with them (if selected).

There is no feedback button. You should be able to scan a VIN without having to enter vehicle information first. There cameras scan does not work on one of my cars. I prefer the email alerts. That seems to be discontinued. I haven’t received one since 2016.

The concept behind the app is good, but NHTSA needs to update the database. There is no update, but the options are lacking. As a CPST, I use this app during my appointments with families to check recalls on their car seats, and 90% of the time, the seat I’m looking for isn’t an option. […]

Garbage app. Says no recalls for my vehicle and 0 unrepaired recalls. Every serious mechanical problems that I’m currently experiencing with my vehicle have supposedly been fixed. Vehicle is barely at 40,000 miles. Should be able to access full repaired recalls when entering vehicle vin. Deleted data and uninstalled
