The app appears to be dead and possibly non-functional. I sent an intro to someone the other day only for us to connect on a completely different app. I asked if they had seen the intro or anything and they denied they had any notifications of any sort. In any case, new profiles are rare and if you find any at all your messages might never make it to those people. Also has a super annoying feature of alerting you for trivial stuff most people will never care about like social events

Overall, the app is great so far, very stable, video and audio quality are great. Have been on for 2-3 weeks and have matched with someone I'm interested in. The only issue I have is that some differences between basic(free) and premium(paid) are not made very clear. For instance, I had received a message from someone, but was not informed about it until I became a premium member. This means, as a premium member, I may be hoping for someone to respond who never will never see my message.

Pros: explicitly Xian, better questions/prompts/push notifications than any other app I've seen, lots of fresh profiles. Easy to remove unwanted profiles, almost no scam profiles. (Upward is swamped) Cons: ABSOLUTELY NO FILTERS BEYOND AGE & DISTANCE, even for premium. I'd give anything to be able to search by denomination. Limited on characters for "about me" sections. Overall straightforward and intuitive, if some additional filters become available and more people join, it'll be great.

Terrible app. Only reason why i give it 2 stars is because the main menu and prompts look nice. Other than that you won't match with anyone, at least I never did. Doubt I'm that ugly. The profiles must be dead or scammers. The free version sometimes only lets you like 3-4 profiles a day or none at all, which is crazy since you have to wait a full day for it to refresh.

I'm ready to give this app zero stars with the way I PAID for a subscription and went through the process of setting up my profile TWICE only for it to give a "network failure" error msg at the end and delete the entire profile. Not to mention how ridiculously sensitive the app is to photo sizes. Do not pay before getting your profile fully set up and in circulation.

I've been on here for 6+ months. Done so many intros, varied distances and ages in preferences, nothing. Not one. Sent someone an intro and due other identifying feature I found the elsewhere and the said they never received an intro. I don't think the app should decide whose intros go through based distances, the age parameter is fine. Allow the recipient to decide whether their will to accept the distances. What if the right person for me just doesn't live in my distance. We're missing out.

Customer service for this app is TERRIBLE!!! First makes you talk to a bot, then leave a message, and you are just told to reinstall the app. I did this several times but it still won't let me do something as simple as set a distance for matches. I want all the "information collected" by your company from my onboarding process to be permanently deleted please. I have no use for an app that doesn't work.

It's just ok. The overall layout/functionality of the app is pretty good. I get the "desire" to make money off an app, but most of my likes are blurred out. You have to pay to see them. It's randomly selected who you can see/IF you can see them. I wish it was like Hinge where once you pass on one profile, one of the blurred ones becomes visible. Also, not that I'd use it, but $25 to boost your profile for 24 hours? Quite steep. Also, age range should be presented in profile set up.

The app has great potential but... Push notifications for Live table events are obnoxious. No way to shut them off (i emailed support with no response) and the notifications will come at all hours of the night like at 3am when you're sleeping 🙄. I was able to see 1 like then the rest after that where blurred so you can't see who they are. I get this; I don't like it but i get it in the free version. If there where more people in the app id deal with it.

So far the app is really nice in terms of the user interface/layout, and it's great that you can add so many prompt answers and preferences. It is still growing and gaining users, so people within my radius are limited, but that just takes time. It definitely would be nice to have more specific filters such as denomination, whether they drink/smoke, etc. (not available even with premium), and the location filter seems a bit off sometimes, I've gotten people from super far away

I'm trying Salt for the first time. I like the option to add interests and different questions to your profile. However, you don't have access to "basic" features like setting parameters for distance or setting certain age ranges unless you pay for Premium, which is expensive. So after going through profiles of people not in my age criteria and outside the US, it tells me there are no more people to view. Deleting this app!!

It's a decent app. Literally the biggest issue is the expense. The app severely limits your ability to connect with people who've like you by putting an outrageously expensive pay wall in front of it. If the prices were more reasonable like $5 a month I'd consider signing up plus I think they'd get 10× the sign ups so the revenue would be similar.

I tried to create a profile, but the app repeatedly failed to save my progress. I was forced to try multiple times to setup my profile, but it simply kept having errors in saving. This is all despite having a solid wifi connection and full cell service. It is impossible to use a dating app if it will not allow you to setup your profile. It appears that the developers have a lot of issues and bugs to sort out at even the most basic of levels.

Serviceable, but could be much more. You can't swipe, only press "move on" or "like." Like others, DESPERATELY needs filters for interests. For some hobbies, there is just no chance of finding more than a few people in the huge pool who have a few things in common with you. If you go by hobbies/interests instead of just looks, forget it, it's too hard and you'll be swiping forever on people who have nothing in common with you

Update: when I learned how to set my filters for age and distance (not looking for long-distance relationship), it greatly reduced the number of people I saw each day. Not a lot of people on the app yet, at least not in USA. I'm just starting on this app, but it's really refreshing to not have to vet profiles so strictly for guys serious about their faith. Filters for age and distance aren't in a very obvious place and it would be beneficial to be directed to those options when you first join.

Bought a boost, didn't show up in my account even though I was charged. Support asked for basically every detail possible (account, purchase number, recording of account) and still can't resolve after 2 weeks. The app itself is very... Unopen? in how you can customize it. The interface is okay, but it's not clear where certain options are (logout is in FAQ?). Just a really bad experience. Don't waste your time.

Still too early to really form an opinion. Just wanted the developers to know about a bug I'm experiencing. When I'm choosing my interests in different categories, such as hobbies, outdoors, and creative pursuits, I'm only able to view the first few items in the lists and I cannot scroll to see the rest. This happened on the two different occasions that I tried to edit my interests on my profile.

Salt is great. The only issue is there are not as many people on this app. I actually like the set-up of this app much better than Upward, but Upward has more people. In Salt, you can respond to individual texts, react to messages, send voice messages, and send pictures. I think you can do video calls as well, although I've never tried it. You can also personalize your profile really well. I do wish there was a little more allottment for more words on the intro description.

I paid since I thought it's a good app. The search range is just limited even if you're in premium. You are given a few matches to like. I've tried to send an intro to one since I can't like his profile but I have no idea if he received it. I can't find a message section like most, if not all, dating app in which you can see the record of the messages you've sent. 😢 You can't even edit or message the person you bet again if he will not respond. Felt useless. More on vids you don't need really.

I would love to be able to participate in Salt Social again, but the + button to create a new post is hidden behind the navigation bar. I can completely change the way my navigation bar works every time I want to post something, but the easier solution is to have the dev correct (or add) the code that reads the height of that bar and adjusts accordingly. The x to close a post is mostly obscured by the top notification bar. Only this and one other app have this issue.
