I'm not sure what to say here. I've been using the Samsung Internet since I got this phone because it was easy to use and not as widespread as Chrome, but this last update is making that nearly impossible. every time I leave the app, it reloads and I have to pray that the pages I had loaded previously are still there; and they're often not. I've been trying to locate my bookmarks via my phone files so I can transfer them over to chrome in case of a hard crash. Please fix this.

I never use this app as I have never found the UI to work for me, but it is installed because like most phones, it is a non-negotiable part of owning a Samsung phone. It was never a problem to have it on the phone, only annoying that links in my text messages would only open in this app, not the defined default. Whatever, minor inconvenience, I could deal. NOW, after the latest updates, the app opens random sites... never been to them, no idea how the app opens independently. Serious bug...

Same as another user, I have never used this app, I always used chrome. Now I am pulling my phone from my pocket to find it unlocked with apps open and running (hello amazon shopping!) Constant full screen ads, battery life decreased (currently at 73% after 2 hours of intermittent use and 1 hour untouched.) Also noted that every time that I find it open, Samsung UI is also listed as the most recently used app. Dont know what you are doing Samsung but after 3 years I may be done.

This has to be the worst Android browser on the market. Download Firefox instead. It has a major flaw in the way it works. Every time you navigate to a web page, it makes that web page the start page next time you start the program. So you are fighting the browser every time you start it just to get to your start page. I tried everything. I eventually gave up and downloaded Firefox. PROBLEM solved.

Ads pop up at all times, such as when I am in the middle of an audible rosery, the ad pops up for no reason, not even appropriate, and totally disrupts my train of thought. I hate it; another example is when the phone rings, the ad pops up, and you have to erase it to even press on the phone link. This was downloaded by Samsung during the last update. I didn't ask for it, and it is impossible to delete. I actually spoke with the Samsung people, and they couldn't get rid of it either.

I can no longer log into accounts with vendors or databases. The username and passwords are accepted but I cannot move passed the log in page. this is happening with several websites that have no affiliation and the common denominator in the Samsung Browser. I am not a fan of this update!!! usually with updates (as long as they are done well), I adjust quickly but this update has not been a good experience and experience is everything to gain new users and retain those you have you.

Ever since the update this app opens randomly. I want to disable it & cannot. I cannot figure out how to stop it from opening, & it's not even opening a specific home page, just random nonsense that has no rhyme or reason to it. Horrible. Please stop including Samsung internet on phones - make it a free app for those who want it. There should be an answer that does not involve uninstalling an app that people use often. I've had Peel Remote installed for years w/ no issue until lately.

Because of this annoying app, I will never buy another Samsung product, ever. You can't get rid of it. No matter how many times you disable, 'discontinue use' and 'uninstall' it's still there, still running and continuously popping up, trying to open over 100 pages and interrupting absolutely everything you're doing, always. Do not download. I don't care what they say, this is absolutely a virus after you allow it in your system. Run fast and far away from this. 100+ negative stars.

Having too many issues with the newest update. Has cut all access to data & changed multiple settings. Also, not very secure. I do a search and by week's end, I'm getting emails pertaining to what I've searched. Then I get bombarded by loads and loads of spam emails and texts. I'll eventually upgrade, security is too important. Too bad, I used to really like Samsung.

If I wanted a news feed on my home page I'd put something of my own choosing there. I want my Quick Access there and nothing else. You can deactivate all the news categories but one; even so, the feed takes up half of the screen, allowing space for only 10 Quick Access buttons. You have to swipe over to see the rest of your "Not-So-Quick-Access" buttons. Too many other intrusive/inconvenient changes over the past year have ruined this previously satisfactory browser. Looking for an alternative.

It's gone downhill. I used to love using secret mode, but it's having a lot of problems these days. Constantly freezing and lagging. All my tabs used to disappear if I left the app open for too long. Now, my bookmarks folders can't be edited. All my bookmarks are still there, but the folders won't show up when I try adding new bookmarks. It's like one problem gets fixed, and three more happen 🙃 it's worthless now.

Samsung, you are the greatest phone company in my opinion, but this, your internet explorer, this is something else. I do agree with everybody that I read in the comment section who are dealing with to many POPUP ADS/TABS that you can't get rid of and it just makes you want to get a new phone to just get away from this!.... I can't do ONE thing on my phone without seeing these stupid ADS/TABS! I'm very disappointed, at least have an ad/tab blocker in the app or something, that'll make things a whole lot easier. 😒

I don't know what happened, but ever since the update, this app randomly pops up after I unlock my phone. This is not my default browser. I have Chrome set for it. I went into the settings and un-installed the update for it turned off notifications and cleared cache, yet it still pops up. The only thing I didn't do was reset because I didn't want to lose years of things I saved. You all need to fix this. It's really annoying.

After the recent update for this app, I have noticed that it loads very slow. My phone lags alot and freezes when using it, which makes it difficult to navigate between tabs etc. Plus, whenever I type in anything, there is a long delay between when I type something and when my typed words appear. Please revert the app back to its previous version (it was just fine). This update has ruined the app. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

This app has been extremely slow recently. I know its not just my phone because everything else works perfectly and my husband's internet app has also been causing him problems. Its slow, it freezes, and it hasn't been loading pages at all, it just crashes. Its getting very annoying. I'm switching back to Chrome until they fix this issue. It seems after the latest update, its been causing problems.

I really want to like this app but there's a big problem in the way of long term use. There seems to be no efficient way to export/import secret mode bookmarks. I bookmark a lot in both modes for quicker scrolling. I noticed the issue recently and you can't use the app long term if you can't transfer your bookmarks over the years with manually as the only option. Sync does not work which is fine for privacy from cloud, but neither does a cable or app work! This needs to be an update.

First,Samsung has major issues with most of their devices and applications due to weak security leaks. Every single phone that I have used with Samsung seems to have the same problem. You should be able to uninstall any application , many of mine are greyed out and obstructed from performing correctly. For example; when I download the application and even before opening the app, I get loads of data installed and the same in my cache. When I go to clear the cache, it immediately comes right back.

It's a waste of space! Auto updates when permissions are turned off. Changes system settings when permissions are turned off. Sends notifications when permissions are turned off. Re-enables itself when disabled. I do not use this app. I do not want this app and there is no option to uninstall completely. Horrible! Update: 2 years after posting my original review and it STILL happens! All. The. Time. 👎

Takes forever to do anything. If I type into the search bar it won't do anything and will just erase what I typed. I have to use the search bar at the top of the page for it to work. when searching something it'll take literally minutes before it searches but I zero issues when I use any other search engine. Such a garbage app. id recommend anything else

The browser has worked fairly flawlessly for years until this latest system update. Now, it crashes multiple times a day. I can't go on the Lowe's website or it crashes every time. If I do shopping searches on Google, it'll crash if I click a result. Other crashes seem random. My storage space and memory are fine. I've turned my phone off and back on a few times anyway, to no avail. I don't know what got changed during the latest update, but please change it back.
