Very good app and very functional to transfer data from one samsung to other. The only & biggest issue is with WhatsApp transfer or migration. This app fails to properly transfer the whatsapp data (specially media). I had to go back to traditional whatsapp backup to cloud and restore. Additionally, had to first delete the incomplete or erroneous transfer via this app and then proceed with the google cloud. If this issue is resolved, it's a 5 star app.

Initially it was so annoying, and I was unable to transfer my data from S10 to S25+. The app was never run on S10 and it was kept saying "Reinstall Smart Switch from App store" - Whilst Samsung call it Playstore but the error keeps coming up and saying "Appstore", and it was not allowing me to open the app at all. Now, issue resolved and transfer successful after following Samsung recommendations in response to my review. Appreciate prompt response Samsung, rating revised. Thanks for help

What a Fiasco, who wrote this 💩tty program?#1 it doesn't give you updates to tell you what's going on during the transfer. GEN Z Programming at its FINEST.. &#2 Gets to a certain point, and doesn't prompt you anymore, so you think that the phone is not progressing. ALSO #3 Didn't transfer all the Apps loaded, so I have to manually reload them from the play store, which I hate going to. couldn't return my warranty phone till today. like 2 full weeks been messing with it... 🤬😡

This app was good. Pretty much one tap and I was able to transfer all the data from the SD card of my old Samsung Galaxy A25 to my new S24, photos, contacts etc. even ALL the apps I sideloaded. It also transferred my old device's folders, home screen layout, wallpapers, basically EVERYTHING. It's probably faster to transfer it via USB cable than wifi, but either way it gets the job done.

Failed to release or conflicted with Android Switch, causing 4 days worth of crashes. Tip: Do this with cable, not wireless. If your old phone has much on it, wireless takes a long time and you'll end up with two apps & two phones fighting it out. I locked up twice en route home.

Terrible app. I had to set up two different Samsung phones this Christmas and it has been a nightmare. The first phone I eventually managed (after trying several times using both, the wifi and the cable option) to set up and transfer all the data from my Xiaomi. The second phone is a Samsung but can't use the cable given that they have different connections. The wifi option doesn't seem to be working despite both phones are on the same wifi network and they are next to each other.

works well when the new device is a Samsung. However it appears to be no good if you're switching from Samsung to something else. *Edit Well, my s23 ultra experience has been absolutely awful. The least reliable device I have ever owned, comparing that to a 10-year-old Motorola which is performing about equally, as they're both barely able to handle the McDonald's app. and it is outshined easily by my S20FE 5g for reliability. so I am happy to get rid of it even if it's less easy than necessary

Not optimal or time saving. You would think Samsung could do better with this app. Transferring the data from one phone to the other sounds good in theory, but if all of the former preferences, passwords, messages don't go over, it's useless. I have spent three days resetting all of my notification sounds, text messages which took 3 attempts and re-signing in to all of my apps which meant looking up all of the passwords. I might have been just better off reinstalling everything on my own.

Samsung Switch is awesome! I've had a new Samsung for a while but have had a deep fear of the change. Had so much on my old phone that I didn't want to lose. Finally decided to bite the bullet after reading about this app, although I was very skeptical. Oh my!! I used the WiFi option. It did take a little over an hour but when I opened the new phone....IT LOOKED JUST LIKE THE OLD ONE!! All my apps, pics, games; etc...were not only there but in the same place. Just awesome!!

IF YOU LOVE BEING HACKED ON A REGULAR BASIS, THIS IS THE APP FOR YOU. Yes, you need a cable, so the tech challenges me. Yes, but what about all of that data that smart switch stores. I believe it's the whole shebang, right. I have been hacked several times, and they usually use Yahoo mail to get it, according to my Google account activity. After that, they usually go right into developer settings, tweak a few things, and then get into the app data of yours truly "Smart Switch," passwords, yum 😋
