So here's my take on SatSquatch. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this is one of the better ones I've found. The data visualization is top-notch, with a ton of different layers and the ability to create your own custom maps. And the interface is really sleek and easy to use, even if it takes a little while to learn all the features. Sure, the ads can be a pain, but the free version is still packed with value. If you're looking for a powerful yet user-friendly weather app, I'd definitely recommend giving SatSquatch a shot.

Description

Been using SatSquatch for a couple months now. It’s basically a weather app for enthusiasts who want high-quality data and a really nice interface. Basically you can create your own maps using all kinds of cool weather data layers like satellite imagery, real-time analysis, and more. There’s a free version with the GOES satellite data, and then you can pay for a Pro subscription to unlock even more advanced layers.

The main things you do in the app are [create custom weather maps], [view real-time data], and [track storm systems]. There’s also some social features where you can share your maps with other users. Took me a little while to figure out all the different tools and settings, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty intuitive.

Look, if you’re into weather and data visualization, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a little annoying if you don’t pay for Pro – but overall it does a great job and the free version has a ton of functionality. Worth checking out for any weather nerds out there.
