Save yourself a headache Don't try this subscription. It is incredibly difficult to cancel, you have to contact their customer service through email to cancel. Their chat feature is worthless it will not tell you how to cancel your service. They also sent me one of my fragrances that was not at the top of my queue. Did not give me an option to change or say that the fragrance I initially wanted was unavailable. Overall horrible.
Reviews for Scentbird Monthly Perfume Box
← Back to Scentbird Monthly Perfume BoxAn option to increase or decrease frequency of suggestions with certain notes would be nice. I'm picky with florals and would like less floral suggestions, but I love gourmands and incense notes. I've taken the quiz multiple times trying to get a more accurate scent profile but keep coming up with some categories that just aren't me, then they push fragrances that fit that category. It would also be nice to be able to save scents that are currently unavailable so you can get them later
Since the modification to "enhance" the puzzle, the app is virtually useless. I have completed 9 puzzles so far while watching your "add to queue" button spin. 9... Not including the others that I did whilst trying to read the item description. 44 puzzles just trying to add the "aquatic" note filter. Absolutely floored with the new cases and the fact that I just had to throw all of my old cases, case stand, and vial holder in the bin.
Didn't receive product and can't get in touch with any representative!!! Didn't receive product because account was resume after it was paused. They changed their pausing system from pausing how long you want to only pausing up to 3 month. My account should have not been resume even if it was updated and the product was sent to a location I'm no longer at and was supposed to been sent back, and all till now I can speak with a representative on the situation.
Predatory business behavior. they make it seem like u can just cancel anytime from the website or app. You are only able to upgrade your plan. You have to go through additional steps and send an email to get a cancelation, and I imagine for most people, this comes directly after a purchase that the consumer did not expect or did not intend to buy. Just be straightforward smfh
Used to love it! It was great you would pay a flat rate to try new products. Now when you add it to your que your paying for the subscription and the product not really ideal if you don't like it... The way it was, was much better I was willing to spend more money on things I at least KNEW I loved or liked... I and this puzzle thing that pops up every 5 seconds. Soo many problems with the new way. I will not be a member next month if these things aren't changed.
Decent app. A little monotonous at times and hard to find certain info on scents. I've had issues put of the company in the past, orders not being sent, sent extremely late, orders not being delivered, and most recently, some of the bottles leaking all the cologne slowly before you get to wear it. They've made good on every issue I've had so far, even if it does take a while sometimes. I'm counting on them to resolve this issue with my bottles leaking. We'll see how things go!
This review is for the app, NOT the company. The puzzle captcha makes shopping 100% irritating. I've verified that I'm not a robot about 5 times, now I can't view the page. As soon as I solve the puzzle, another one pops up immediately. I can't even choose anything out of my queue to pay for. You're doing nothing but losing money, ScentBird. Your service is great but this app needs work!
Literally choose any other company, I've been waiting 3 weeks and my order still hasn't even been processed. I sent emails and can't get a response but I will be charged for my second month before my first one even processes, flat out crazy. Horrible business model. And if you want any of the good fragrances, well that's an extra $10-15 per bottle. That's what really got me, I seen they had a certain couple kinds I wanted to try, so I bought a subscription, that's when you find out it's more.
I wanted to love them. 🥺 my first order came so quickly. I loved the scent and the price wasn't bad. I skipped my second shipment (every two months frequency) and now my second order has been a complete hassle. It's now been a month since they charged me and the shipping date just keeps extending with the notification that it's awaiting pickup. I've contacted Support and the resolution has only been a free case 🥴. So yeah! I don't think I'm going to keep them. The idea is great though
I'm on my 3rd delivery. I don't like that it shows you that you have a subscription and other items, but not the amount you were charged for that month. I like to see what should be coming out of my account. I also don't like the upcharge for certain fragrances when you already subscribed. There should be cheaper pricing for the cases. They aren't making it sturdy, and I feel like it can break easily. I do like the magnetic design aspect. It's easy to disassemble and reassemble.
They will charge you regular price items for the size of what you get just to keep getting a "reoccurring" charge from you. When asking them for a refund of the regular priced perfume, because you don't want it or the subscription they will decline. They won't issue a refund. Poor customer service experience. I don't recommend them at all! I really wanted my experience to be different.
The app is easy to use overall, HOWEVER, I have been getting MULTIPLE CONSTANT verifications: the slide puzzle piece to prove I'm not a robot. I had to do it about 10 times (I'm not joking) in 1 minute. There should be a "remember me" option. It's hard to do anything on the app like this. Also was under the impression I would be able to cancel my account easily on my own, but the cancel subscription link on the app DOESN'T WORK. Hate when companies make it impossible to cancel. Just bad business
I love the service and the app. I've always wanted to try out different Cologne, but just couldn't see spending $60+ for something I really don't like, and the store sections that have sample bottles to smell Cologne/ perfumes is always way to strong and set off my allergies. The app is well designed, very intuitive and user friendly. Honestly, I had planned on canceling after my free trial, but I've liked the experience so much that I'm definitely keeping it.
This poopy (you know which word I really wanted to say) subscription/company hits you with the "half off" towards the end of the month in order to start your subscription with them. What they fail to also advertise is that you don't see that cologne for the next month. Kind of a big bummer if you wanted something within the next 3 or 4 days. Regular price if you don't get the deal is a$$ too. Let's do better sb.
I've had scentbird for years. I have always liked them. But I went to cancel my subscription because I have a stockpile. They now make you send an email to cancel. You can no longer do it from the App or website. Thats just shady business to deter people from canceling subscriptions. I would consider coming back later if they added that feature again.
When I first tried the app, I just wanted to try 1 scent. That same day I went through the steps of canceling my subscription. My husband and I decided it just wasn't the right time to add another monthly bill. Afterwards, I thought the subscription is canceled next month won't be charged and everything is handled. Then on the 1st of the month, I get an email stating my order is being processed. So I canceled my subscription again, payment taken on the 2nd. No refund.
just about the app not its products. not very interactive friendly. had to re-download and delete the old app for some reason instead of updating - and the old app was no longer in the app store but still on my phone. can't click on any product in the cart to show the product info, you have to go and search it up and remember the name. search doesn't work under some segments in the app. can't click and or zoom in anywhere if you needed to. and there is no wishlist.
I just messaged them on Facebook because I couldn't find any other way. There is no customer service that I can find. They send a lot of push notifications through your phone. Letting you know about events or sales or something they are offering you. I was told they are time sensitive? I'm not sure how much on time I have to be? I recieved the notice, hit it & it just takes you to the app not whatever the notice was about? So just know the notifications are scams. They don't go to anything.
Bad Buisness Practices (subscribers BEWARE!) It's super easy to upgrade subscriptions, but when it comes to unsubscribing, it's a hassle. The option to unsubscribe isn't currently available. Unsubscribing should be as easy as subscribing, plain and simple. This company is not to be trusted. FYI, I followed the instructions given on the site and used and used the link in the app.
