Description
Been using Seasoned for about a month now while helping my buddy look for restaurant work. It’s basically like LinkedIn but specifically for people in the service industry – you know, restaurants, bars, that kind of thing. Super straightforward to use and way less stuffy than regular job sites.
The main thing you do is browse through local service industry jobs and apply with basically one tap. There’s this cool feature where you can schedule interviews right in the app, which is pretty handy when you’re juggling multiple applications. Plus there’s this whole community section where people share advice and stories about working in the industry. Kind of like Reddit but specifically for service workers.
Look, if you’re trying to find work in restaurants or bars, this is probably gonna be your best bet. It’s not perfect – some areas don’t have tons of listings yet, and the app can be a bit glitchy sometimes. But honestly? It beats the hell out of scrolling through Indeed trying to filter out all the non-service jobs. Plus it’s totally free, so there’s really no reason not to try it.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take after testing this app out. I've tried pretty much every job search app out there, and Seasoned definitely fills a gap in the market. The focus on just service industry jobs makes so much sense - like, why hasn't anyone done this before? I really dig how quick the whole process is. And you're not writing these long cover letters or uploading resumes in weird formats.
But here's the thing - it's still kind of new in some markets, so depending on where you live, you might not find as many listings as you'd hope. And the social features are cool but kinda hit or miss - some days there's lots of activity, other days it's pretty quiet. Still, for what it is, it's doing a pretty solid job.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Super quick to apply - none of that lengthy application nonsense
- Everything's specifically for service jobs, no random stuff to filter through
- Actually useful community with real industry people sharing tips
- Completely free to use, no premium features locked behind paywalls
Cons
- Job listings can be sparse in smaller cities
- App tends to freeze up sometimes, needs better optimization
- Community section can be pretty dead in some areas
