Reviews for SEPTA Park

← Back to SEPTA Park

Terrible. Worst parking app ever. Repeatedly tells me no payment method selected even though I enter my credit card info at least five times.

Trying to set up, no way of submitting a password for the new acc. Keeps coming back with "wrong Password!!!!" I rarely use any apps, but this one on Android is "horrible". Does not matter if I use email or cell phone number. same problem.

This app stopped working 3 weeks ago and no update since. It won't take new card info after it deleted all saved cards from my account. It will not work with Google pay. My account has been blocked 4 times now due to unsuccessful payments that are outside of my control. This is obvious a widespread issue. Please fix it.

why are we all carrying around key cards... make this app also do key cards. also, put in alerts. so I can remind myself when I'm working to pay for parking. it's super easy to forget to open this app to pay for parking.

I'd give it zero stars if i could. Septa is doing a terrible job maintaining the parking kiosks at Jenkintown station. I don't want to pay electronically but Septa can't be bothered to fix the kiosks (that they paid for with commuter money) so we are forced to pay electronically. I hate having septa on my phone. I hate the notifications that I keep trying to turn off but they keep appearing anyway. I don't want septa to have my location.

Sometimes parking payment comes through, they charge you the parking fee, but then the app doesn't show the active parking session and you get a parking violation ticket that is then impossible to dispute. It seems like a fraud, but you must use this app as there's no other way to pay for parking.

When it works, the app does fine. But it recently stopped processing my payments and requests for support went unanswered. I eventually figured out it wouldn't process one Visa card but Mastercard was ok. To park with SEPTA this app is required otherwise I would not use it.

Last Sunday, this app did not work for at least six hours and I kept trying to pay for my parking over and over. I tried both on Android and Apple. Wasted so much of my time. Called support line and they hung up on me. Sent in support ticket to Flowbird and never heard back. To add insult to injury, the next morning I got a ticket from SEPTA. Do not trust this app!

Can't always pay. Says try again later more often than not. Takes way too long to make a payment - it shouldn't be this difficult to pay something! Also, whenever I try to open a Facebook link, it brings me to the SEPTA app! Why? Please, get it together!

This app does not allow you to buy multiple days at a time if you park in Downingtown. Why? Paoli (same app) allows multiple days. If you travel for a few days (like to NYC) It forces you to have to remember to transact each day to buy parking. If you don't remember (expires at 2am!) you get slapped with a parking ticket. So inefficient. Please make this simple user friendly change and have Downingtown operate like Paoli. thanks

Pay functionality works, but the options to notify when parking time runs out never works. The app also tries to act as the default app for Facebook links for some odd reason and turning off link opening doesn't seem to stop it. Overall, poorly made. Uninstalled after getting fed up with it hijacking links.

This takes too long to use. Every day there is a loading screen to log you in, then a loading screen to select your station, then a loading screen to select how long you want to park for, then a loading screen to confirm your transaction, then a loading screen while it connects to your bank and processes your payment. At any one of those screens there is also a chance it just never loads.

Leave it up to septa to make the most trash app for parking to go along with their other 3 apps that don't work. The app annoyingly asks me every time I open it to enable notifications and alarms - STFU, no. I disabled it for a reason. I've also added multiple payment methods which are visible from the settings menu, but lo and behold they aren't selectable when actually select a station and try to park, only google pay. SEPTA, hire competent backend devs. Or are they union stooges too?

Unable to clearly navigate in app. Unable to enter payment methods. Numerous error messages stating "unable to process request." Initial support agent unable to assist. Escalated to technical support. I am waiting for assistance return call. This app is poorly designed and unable to use in Septa parking lots due to inability to set app up. But what does one expect from anything Septa does?

When it works it works and is easy and intuitive. Randomly will decide to have connection issues though on some days at same time/place and signal level (the station where I park) and decide not to take payment. Update: continues to not allow payment at random times. trying to text the number to pay for parking just gets me a link that takes me back to the nonfunctioning app. what a mess

UPDATE: Mere minutes after posting this review, SEPTA blocked my account. This thing always glitches. It tells me it couldn't process my payment, and then, ten minutes later, I get an email saying it confirmed my payment went through. I have no idea why this app is so bad. I'm going to put a time frame of every day this happens. 2/11/2025 - 2/12/2025, 2/24-25.

I parked at Fox Chase station and the app didn't recognize it. Alternate instructions were to type in the station ID (which was nowhere to be found). This app is like everything else SEPTA does: a feckless failure. I have traveled widely in the US and foreign countries, and every city I've been in has a simpler, uaer-friendly parking and fare app that WORKS.

Edit: Now the app stalls at 'Connecting to your bank' and eventually charges you multiple times for each retry. It was easy to pay for parking, but it's buggy when trying to add a payment method. After this last update it couldn't find my payment methods when trying to pay. I had to remove those cards and add again. Adding wasn't easy. The phone keyboard was in the way for the lower fields. You have to hide your keyboard then tap on the field to need to enter next. Could be better.

Since the most recent update, the app refuses to use whatever payment methods I have saved on my account. Additionally, any attempts to make a payment via the app result in an error stating that it was "Unable to contact your bank" for both Google Pay and for my credit card. On top of that, payments via Google pay seem to just not get processed, whereas the payments made via credit card still get charged to my card and result in an entry on my statement.

Missing simple features like saving parking stations as favorites, easy way to "repark" each day without going back through the same search and slow process each time. No way to set up automated parking for those of us that use the same car in the same lot on the same days!!!! These are basic features the app is missing. Just make it easy.
