Description
I’ve been using Session – Private Messenger for a couple months now. It’s basically a secure messaging app that keeps your conversations totally private and anonymous. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you can do: You can chat with friends, family, or anyone without ever sharing your phone number. There’s also group chats, which is pretty cool. And it uses this decentralized network to route your messages, so no one can see who you’re talking to or what you’re saying.
Look, if you care about privacy and security, you’ll probably like Session. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a messaging app that actually respects your privacy.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Session - Private Messenger. I've tested a bunch of privacy-focused messaging apps and this one's up there with the best of them. The end-to-end encryption and decentralized network are legit security features that give you real anonymity. It's not as slick as something like Signal, but the tradeoff is that Session is more customizable and uncensored. In my experience, it's a solid alternative if you're looking to ditch the big tech messaging apps.
