DO NOT PAY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION. I did a 3-month subscription because I enjoyed the free trial. I deleted my account before the end of the subscription period and I'm still being charged. Now I'm out $30 and don't have access to what I paid for. McGraw Hill remains unmatched as the worst 'education' company in the country.

Some bugs with logging into my account when I open the app or use the desktop version. But overall it has helped me so much with studying! I like all the different features it has from summary to flashcards to practice exams.

Just not user friendly, overly complex. After logging in several times, and having to readd my book to the shelf twice, it still doesn't seem to match up. I'm going to have to dig into the app to understand how to get it working now.

I was able to use it for a class over summer semester and it worked really well. Now it constantly freezes, crashes, and when I can get it to work momentarily, the navigation through the app is confusing and not user-friendly.

I have been using Sharpen for a couple months now and today when I went into the app I had to sign in again this has happened another time but I didn't have any problems however this time after I signed back in all my progress was lost. The courses I was doing are still there but everything else is gone. The app seems to be going through a lot of updates and apparently now I have to pay to answer more than 5 questions? I will still be trying to use Sharpen because I like the content.

Literally cannot sign in. Tap sign in. Yes I have an account. Put in email. Put in verification code. I try to access something. and the process repeats all over again. Absolutely ridiculous and idiotic that a massive. textbook/education company cannot have a functional app. No i will not reach out. Countless others have complained about this issue read their complaints.

I downloaded it today because of a promotional email. I opened the app. It asked for an email to send a code to. Once I put in the code I received, it crashed. My phone acknowledged there was a bug, and gave a clear cache suggestion. I cleared the cache, and reopened the app. It still crashes. I was excited for this app.

They fixed the crashing issues! I haven't had a single problem since my last review! They have tons of titles, not just McGrawHill, but from other sites like OpenStaxs as well! Tons of helpful content! I love this app! It has helped with studying and even breaks things down in a way textbooks don't, expands on areas that need it and really offers so much! I definitely recommend giving this app a try!

I love this app! Last semester I got overwhelmed and had to withdraw from my classes. This semester I've taken the same classes and used the Sharpen app, and my biology exam score went from a 68% last semester to a 85% this semester. Thank God for this app. It makes studying fun and rewarding. I really do wish there were more subjects though. I'm also taking an Astronomy class and we use a McGraw Hill book. There is nothing to help me study Astronomy and I can't find an alternative app.

You have to get rid of that STUPID question mark that's at the top right corner of each question in a practice quiz. It opens a banner and blocks the text in a lot of questions and I just can't see! Like... What a ridiculous feature, and I'm paying money for it?! Are you kidding?! And the question mark doesn't even work! You press it and nothing happens! A banner just pops out when a new question starts, and you sit there waiting for it to go away-- Who designed this?! It's so infuriating!!!

This used to be a good app. I used it the last 3 semesters but when I went in today, the app keeps crashing. When I opened up the app today, it did an update and then I tried to login and it says no account with that email. Then I try to sign up and it says there's already an account with that email. I tried 5 different emails all the same disappointment..

This is a really cool app and really helpful. I'm not saying that you shouldn't show up to class, but if you miss a day you could review material. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because there is an extremely small amount of class options and book options. Only one book they have is semi-similar to the book I'm using. I can't wait to see what's to come.

Mid they probably spent more money on the flashy graphics than the instructional design.

*The reply from the developer was initially automated and without regard to the issue. Asking to email them to further explain the issue. If somehow my complaint of having to pay extra for this "added value" wasn't enough explanation. They replied to my edit, bringing attention to the fact there are free resources. Ok, sure. Right from their very own mheducation webpage "Students gain access to a limited set of free resources across the entire library of titles, in every single chapter." $$$

my app isn't letting do my full quizzes anymore and crashes after one question. when it was working it was amazing. Hopefully they can fix the bugs because this is a really good tool to help u with important struggles and test until you get it right

Good summary, but quizzes are all wrong. At first I thought it was user error and wasted time re-reading chapter one before I realized the quiz didn't fit the material. After chapter 2, I now know it's not me. An example: T/F A cost driver is whatever causes overhead costs to increase. I had the ebook open and did a search. "Cost driver" is not a term in Ch 2. Activity Cost Driver and Overhead Cost Driver can be found in Ch 4. Other terms in other questions were found in Chs 5 & 6. Not good.

The app simply isn't functional. I reached out to let them know before and after the most recent update that there were and continue to be issues and received no reply. The idea of this app is great but it just doesn't work, as the current code is written. EDIT: I sent the feedback through the app and to Simon Allen. I've already offered my feedback through multiple channels and your are clearly aware of the technical issues of the product. You have a non functional product.

It's a great premise, however, I'm finding a number of errors between the content and my accounting textbook, and what is displayed on the screen may not match up with what is being said in the video, as in the content mismatch is contradictory to one another. 2/5 because I find the app helpful for studying--its easy and accessible. The glaring "but" is that for such a large education company, these are simple errors that shouldn't have been overlooked.

This is what's known as a "supplement". It's a thing that comes *with* a $300 textbook or $180 digital textbook license. Not a $90/year external resource people should buy if the book is inadequate. At least, not for Pearson. Or MacMillan. Guess they're slightly less interested in padding shareholder value on the backs of a cash-strapped captive audience. There are quizzing apps available for virtually every subject free or for a low, one-time cost. Not as glitzy, but just as effective.

App is not functional. Does not let you search for your textbook. Once you scroll through the list and find your textbook, it does not let you add it to your shelf. The first time I tried to add my textbook to my shelf, I got logged out of the app and had to start all over. Second time, nothing happened. I pressed the button again. Still nothing. Great idea in concept, but it doesn't work. Maybe pay your employees more so they put out functional products.
