This is such an awesome app to use. Very easy to follow and find what you need. The best part is when you actually buy comics. Any comics over a certain value gets checked by Shortboxed to ensure what you are paying for is valid. Their customer service is exceptional and I highly recommend this app for your comic buying needs!

I highly recommend this app, got a few friends who use it too now! Edit: it's been 2 years I've been using it, it's gotten much better. Definitely buy comics here before checking eBay.
If you are a comic collector who likes graded comics this is the app for you. Books are easy to find and are shipped to you as advertised. Not only that you are able to send offers for books you are interested in and in some cases do payment plans on them! The app also has a FMV feature that compliments your own research on the book which is really nice too. I absolutely love this app and use it daily!
Just recently stumbled onto this app after starting back back up in the comic book scene. It's definitely way better than any other marketplace for graded books and I really love the way it notates whether it's a good or not so great buy along side recent sales of said book for comparison. On top of all this I received a damaged book and it was handled impeccably by a Mr Justice B! I'll definitely be buying and selling more books on this platform!
This is a great, almost hidden, market for graded comics. I have purchased a few now and have had no bad experiences at all. In fact, the one time I was worried about an order, I sent them an email and they looked in to it right away. Honestly, I want to tell people to not use this app as I want to keep all the great deals to myself! Plus, the app is really easy to use as a bonus.
Shortbox app makes it so much easier to buy/sell comics. Not just that sometimes they offer discounted rates on comics and provide insurance making sure you are getting the comic you are paying for. Shortboxed is an awesome marketplace for graded comics. I've only used it from the consumer end, but I think it's a great resource for buyers and sellers. There are tons of new listings daily, and the search and sort features are easy to use and very well done. It has a great offer system to work deals and they have decent sales from time to time that do not hurt the sellers.
This app is a must have for all comic people. It is epic, easy to use, it's safe and has a great community on discord. It eliminates all the hassle and stress is stress of buying comics on other platforms. You get all the information up front before you buy. I have bought 10 plus comics in the last few months off this app and every one of them has been exactly what's shown, No guessing on the condition it's it's perfect if you want to get books signed.
Just started collecting comic slabs and I thought this would be the best and safest way to do it. So far I have purchased 2 slabs from Shortboxed and everything went well. I was able to bargain a little on the price and the slabs arrived at my house undamaged. I would recommend buying from Shortboxed if your looking for comic slabs.
Pinnacle of slab commerce! I have made three purchases so far on the shortboxed app and couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. All three came through without one problem. I was even able to make offers on two of those books and saved some money. Love it. Customer service answered my initial questions on i.g. immediately. This app really is a great place to buy and sell graded books. With quarantine happening this year, it really became a clutch with me buying the comics I wanted instead of cons that ended up being cancelled. Plus, the app itself is super easy. They email you right away about your comic you bought, and ship it out super fast! Tracking system is easy to follow as well. 100 percent recommended for comic book collectors out there.
Edit- It's been 5 months since I made my initial review,and they still can't pay out on time and still can't reply to concerns in a timely manner. Deleting account. I'm having trouble getting paid out, and there's no customer service number. I'm not interested in waiting 24 hours or more for an email response when I should've already been paid. There needs to be customer service in real time. The app also constantly logs me out and needs to be restarted.
I've been using the Shortboxed app for a few months and have made a couple of purchases so far. The app is easy to navigate and its easy to search individual issues and filter by grade. I also like that you can set notifications for issues at specific grades. The comics I've ordered have arrived securely packaged and in great condition. I've been impressed so far and will definitely continue using the app.
Review after approx. 4 months. About 5 successful purchases (no sales yet). I like the clean interface and the mostly white color scheme. Searching is quick and painless. If you know exactly what you want, the suggestions can be intrusive. But that's a personal preference. I also had one instance where images failed to load but it was solved after a few restarts. Also, the favorites list does not auto update to show unavailable items. You need to click them individually to see the status.
Shortboxed is my primary spot to buy/sell and track my collection. The easiest feature is taking pics of the comics I want to add to my portfolio. The app scans the pic and fills in most of the details. The app allows the user to submit which comics to sell. Other users can search and submit offers. Overall the app is intuitive and I've had no trouble buying or selling. However, the app isn't perfect. There are minor quibbles, but no deal breakers. Over time I'm sure it will my last star.
First time user of this app, and I'm really liking it so far. Very user friendly, can make offers, and can bookmark books of interest. Sellers of the bookmarked items also send offers. Items are very descriptive, easy to read, and also shows previously sold to gauge prices, as well as census data. There's also a new contest happening to participate in. Great customer service in checking in on your orders as well. Hope to sell a book on this app some day!
Horribly Expensive Shipping Prices. It was more than 30 dollars on a multi item order, and item didnt even arrive in special packaging. Shop elsewhere, as the auctions are heavily inflated by accounts associated with the seller and the shipping is much too expensive. expect to pay additional fee per each item on the order. Have never had combined shipping be MORE expensive on a platform until now.
Great site to buy thru. No higher prices on items, like feeBay, so the seller can cover their charges. Want a better price? Then simply make an offer to the seller. You are dealing direct - no middle man. Its easy to search for desired items, see the grade and check with grading company for more info on condition. Same day you'll get tracking info and can follow its arrival to your collection. And these guys are quick to respond for any assistance.
ACH processing takes 4-7 days, but says 2-4. Says it ships in 2-3 days, but they take more like 2-3 weeks. Some Sellers won't even ship if the auction didn't sell for enough for them, and they aren't penalized in any way by Shortboxed. There is no way to message sellers, so you just have to hope they'll send your package correctly. This platform does not have reviews so you have no way of warning other buyers of a bad seller(skip CapeandCowl). Clearly built with sellers in mind, not buyers.
Great for seller's and buyer's! I have done both sides of the site, and seriously, who doesn't love not having to pay sales tax? And for seller's, no more worrying about shipping costs!! The fee's are lower too! And, all book's are insured with expert liability insurance! Great for those high value book's! It has a built in price index for buyer's can make informed decisions! It really does make buying and selling slabs a whole lot easier! Give it a try!!
