Description

Been using Signal Private Messenger for a couple months now. It’s basically a super secure messaging app that puts privacy first. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping your chats and calls private.

Here’s what you can do: You can send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. And there’s also encrypted voice and video calls, even for group calls with up to 50 people. And you can join group chats with up to 1,000 people – you can control who can post and manage the group.

Look, if you care about privacy and want a messaging app that’s not gonna sell your data, you’ll probably like Signal. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little confusing at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s what you’re looking for.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Signal Private Messenger. I've tested a bunch of messaging apps and this one's definitely up there in terms of privacy and security. And the end-to-end encryption is top-notch, and I like how you're in full control of your groups and stories. On the downside, the app can feel a bit bare-bones compared to something like WhatsApp. But if privacy is your main concern, I'd say Signal is one of the best options out there.

Cons

  • UI is a little basic and takes some getting used to
  • Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other messaging apps

They added suggested responses to messages, which is standard for most messaging apps. Unfortunately, they are intrusive (difficult to dismiss) and usually end up popping into my message. I can't...

It's secure and useful. Unlike an SMS messaging app, you can add people to group chats and take people off without creating a new chat each time, there's no spam,...
