So here's my honest take on SimMon. I've tested a bunch of medical sim apps and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works really well - it's easy to control the patient monitor remotely and the UI is pretty intuitive. The graphics aren't gonna blow you away but they get the job done. My main gripe is the setup process can be a pain, especially if you're trying to connect two devices that aren't on the same network. But once you've got it working, it's a pretty useful tool for training or just messing around.

Pros

  • Easy to control patient vitals remotely
  • Nice multi-touch controls make it simple to manage everything
  • Decent graphics that get the job done
  • Free to use without any paywalls
  • Good for medical training or just casual simulation

Cons

  • Setup can be a bit finicky, especially cross-device connections
  • Limited features compared to enterprise-grade medical sim software
  • Gets repetitive after messing around for a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay for the premium version

Description

Been using SimMon for a couple months now. It’s basically a remote controlled patient monitor app for medical simulations. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do – you open the app on two devices, one’s the remote control and the other’s the patient monitor. You can change stuff like blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rate, all that medical stuff by just dragging your finger up and down on the screen. There’s also some nice multi-touch controls which make it easy to manage everything.

Look, if you’re training for medical emergencies or just wanna mess around with a sim, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit finicky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Does almost everything the more expensive simulated monitors do, works well on different devices and simple to control, comprehensive enough for complex Sims (ambulance/HEMS/ICU medical simulation). Be aware that you...
