simple to use. Great enough quality for normal recording, very small file size.
Reviews for Simple Voice Recorder
← Back to Simple Voice RecorderGood quality recordings and as the name says, simple to use. I'm pretty sure a chimpanzee could learn to use this.
obnoxious application, your screen gets overpowered with ads that you can't get out of. immediately uninstalled. use AI and build your own app. That's what I'm going to do.
Used to be a clean, lightweight way to record things quickly, but now they bombard you with ads and ask for $15 A WEEK to remove them. Time for me to move on.
free version works decent enough, but the ad-free version costs $14.99 per WEEK (that's what it says in mine)! who's gonna pay almost $800 a year, forever, for this?
Easy to use. Simple as its name says! I love it. Records my Zoom calls and lets me upload them to Google Drive. Highly Recommend
Very easy to use and fast setup as well, so far, so good, if you looking for a easy recorder, then I recommend this one
this is 100% a malicious app. will try to trick you by offering a 3 day free trial and making it hard to read with faint grey letters that after that you'll be charged $19/week. i dont know how google allows this sort of fraudulent behaviour on their store. RESPONSE TO DEV: if youre not trying to defraud people then a) why do you make the part about paying $19/week so easy to miss, and b) why would you charge $80/month for a recording app that isnt even that good. (see the 1 star reviews)
Not a good app. Quieter than others. No pause. Couldn't pick up sounds very well or from a short distance. The only good thing here was its basic app layout that was easy to use.
intrusive ads, skipping brings up play store. minimise app, come back and more ads. try stopping the recording without ads, can't do it. $23/wk for pro... it's a voice recorder. the new dev is obviously malicious.
I used this ad-free app for years on my Galaxy S20 FE, and it was FLAWLESS. Now, on my new phone (S25 Edge), the version downloaded from the play store is RIDDLED with highly intrusive ads! Their own website says: "A group of simple, open source Android apps WITHOUT ADS and unnecessary permissions, with customizable colors." I'll RETURN my rating to 5 stars if they rollback the version to free-without-ads. On what planet is a "Simple" app worth $15 PER WEEK ?!?
I guess they got bought out or something as there are now ads...which wouldn't be a problem if they didn't stop the app from opening. When I actually sat for the 90 sec+ opening time (for real), was met with a full screen ad and then a continuous ad at the top that sometimes had SOUND. The absolute kicker is that the "premium" version 15$.. A week. Yes, folks $60 a month, $720/year for a simple recording app. And to change the UI color. Untrustworthy and suspicious, use something else 👎👎👎
I was actually looking for a different voice recorder app, I am trying to help someone that is not good with computer stuff get a simple voice recorder so I tested this one out and it's exactly what it says it is, so far it's running great but I think it sucks I have to pay to switch the theme because I can't afford it even at a low price, I have vision issues and darker colors are better. My dark mode doesn't work in your app. Please consider a dark mode or black theme for people like me.
Prior to today, this app was free of ads. Now, you're forced to either deal with a popup every minute, and a banner ad constantly present, or to pay 15 bucks a WEEK to be ad free. Right away, any company that is scummy enough to try and trick people into such an absurd subscription...they aren't deserving of my patronage. I'll be looking for a new app for my recording needs thank you. edit: I don't care what this company says anymore. you suck.
Quality of recordings is good, but the app frequently displays full page ads that play with max volume. There is an ad free subscription, but the company wants $15 per week, which is absolutely absurd. Do not download. Edit after the developer replied: There is no way that anything added to the subscription is worth $780 per year. That's insane and nobody should download this app.
The information here shows custom colors as an option. It is locked. Maybe I missed where it says purchase in app. Or cost up front. While. 99 cents is not much, then why not disclose it upfront in the app description? Would be 5 stars if that information was provided in advanced. And, on the custom colors image have in app purchase clearly on it so people don't expect it to be included.
The software is no longer as initially provided. Developers made an update to include ads and in-app purchases after a lot of people downloaded the app for the simple fact that it did not have either of those. The ads are extremely intrusive too, I wouldn't care if they were something small that didn't get in the way but they are full screen ads. Don't waste your time with this app
You guys are LIFESAVERS! Android rolled out an update that completely ruined my audio recordings (I don't use external microphones) no matter what app I used. It was really annoying and I worried nothing would fix it, but the most recent update now allows you to change the audio source, and now I can record crisp audio again! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this update!! This is amazing! All issues aside, this has always remained a highly reliable app that I've used for two years at this point!
Does significantly better with low volume recording than my last app, and it doesn't collect and sell my personal information which is *apparently* too much to ask from other apps. Only complaints are that you can't automatically change the name of the recording and that you can't crop the audio -- but I guess that's the point of the "simple". Either way, it works really well and doesn't try to sell your information. Thank f#&!
Used to be decent, now this "free" app has literally zero free functionality. The current version just goes straight to a screen begging you to sign up for a 3 day trial. It still shows a list of basic/premium features, but there's no way to move past the sale screen to an ad supported version. If there's supposed to be an X, it's not showing up and that's a pretty major bug. The description still calls it a free app. "Free" and "3 day trial" are NOT the same thing.
