Not optimized for mobile. Bottom buttons are blocked by phone navigation (back/home/menu) and I don't know what they do. The accuracy isn't good. Tried to do 2 little circles and it ends up as 2 dots side-by-side. Removed
Reviews for SketchPad - Doodle On The Go
← Back to SketchPad - Doodle On The GoDeveloper comments alone. *edit* bc you care to check, i couldn't keep your app unfortunately bc my phone didn't agree with it. ("Hand-me-down" from my mom, i think its processor is messed) + i like to use the stylo pen, it didn't seem to read it well. i was sad bc your app was what i was looking for. I like to make notes, but i prefer write than type.
it might be a good app. I'm not sure because after I downloaded it everything I clicked on was a hidden ad to go download something else. I was so confused about how to get in to the actual program without feeling I was being duped into something else. not worth my time. I'll go find something easier.
It was good but it was hard to press the back button and it quickly undid it and how do you save it? I'm really happy with the app in all. But those little things that are hard to do can easily be fixed. I think you should get a tool that can shade in whatever colour you want. It really is a great app and I really appreciate the app because I love love LOVE and think that the best thing in the world is DRAWING! I like the fact that you can do whatever you wanted. I think we should add shapes. 🦑
I really like this app because it does as advertised; it scribbles and doodles. Its pretty good and easy to understand, but my only idea is a fill tool; that would be super helpful. Thanks :) UPDATE (10/6/21): Rediscovered this app (and review) so I redownloaded it. I have dark mode enabled so the background is black. It's supposed to turn your black draw color white but it doesn't do that instantly; takes a little finnicking. Doesn't even look like the app has updated since my first review...
This app is nice if you want to just doodle or draw very much simple. We can change the canvas colour & pen colour. The only thing which I didn't liked about this app is that we can't zoom. Please add a option to zoom in & out.
I like the app, it's good. However, I'd like to suggest two important features - (1) I'd prefer the settings to persist (background color and pen color) across app restarts. (2) The ability to save and load different sketches (something like Google Docs) will be super useful. Users could create sketches for different ideas and load them later. I'd definitely go for a 5-star rating if this is implemented. Kudos, developers!
Do not install!! This app is infected with viruses. Just had to uninstall from my own phone so I do not reccomend it at all even my phone flagged it up. I can see in other reviews the software developer is not acknowledging that this is a problem, they are saying Google wouldn't let them operate for 4 years if there was malware. Are they for real? Obviously they've been allowed to operate previous years because it wasn't an issue then, it only start flagging up for viruses recently.
It was fine in the beginning, but it got laggy and slow later. I do not recommend this app. When I pressed the undo button, it took 5-8 seconds before it actually undid the action I just did. Plus, it just doesn't recognize my finger. When I draw a line, it makes dots instead of a line. That's my thoughts. My opinions. Again, I do not recommend this app.
I like it but it should have more options for example fill or maybe different brush types. Also the export tool for some reason doesn't work 4 me. Overall it's a really fun and easy drawing game but it could use more customisation. Keep the menu tho, it's really easy to use.
Simple app, all I need. This is a simple app, but that's good. It's no Photoshop or Illustrator competitor, but it gives you exactly what you'd think: A screen to sketch on. Clear, clean UI, easy to use, and unlike the other apps I tried it doesn't force you to work the way it thinks you should work. Just start it, grab your stylus, and go. Only problem: my Galaxy Gallery app doesn't display the updated SketchPad directory Only suggestions: Let me set image save directory; save to SDCard.
This app is ok but my biggest issue is being unable to find the export. I just downloaded this app so it's up-to-date. When I tap Export it says "Saved!" but it's not in my camera folder nor did a sketchpad folder appear under my pictures. I ended up just taking a screenshot and will likely try to find a different app. If I don't find a better one then I guess I'll just screenshot my doodles which isn't terrible (I screenshot a lot). I do like the Shake to Clear feature, easy erasing.
Good points: customizable brush size, full spectrum of colours. I had data turned off in case of ads so can't comment on that. Bad points: far too laggy, doesn't always respond to brush strokes. The bad points got too much after an hour or so, so I uninstalled without trying the export option, so can't comment on that. Overall rating: good if you have the patience for all the lag. Unfortunately I don't. Recommendation for improvement: add sensitivity options and improve responsiveness.
I don't understand how developers can manage to mess up an easy, pencil drawing tool. The line appears dotted/granular and isn't smooth as it was before. The eraser should be on the main screen & you shouldn't have to go settings every time you need to erase something! Many times, the screen doesn't detect the finger touch and I have to draw over it multiple times, hence ruining the drawing. Uninstalled.
A simple/easy sketch app to doodle/scribe on the go - just what I was looking for (sometimes I want simple, not complicated bells/whistles). Shake-to-erase option is nice and works well. Having a save function is also nice, except that "Export" button displays "Saved!" but doesn't save anything (Android 13). I can still save by Share and Save As (or just take a screenshot), so there a workaround if I want to save anything.
For basic drawing this app would be fine. It does not come with many features, but you can sketch, undo, and edit, which may be all you need. One small issue is that undo-ing is laggy. The big issue is that, as another recent reviewer mentioned, it is now not exporting files at all, no matter which location is selected---I looked everywhere, even where the dev note said it should be. IDK when this happened, as it worked when I downloaded it at the start of last month. But it's totally broken.
The app works fine for me, I am able to doodle things that I've got stuck in my head with relative ease. The reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is it could use a couple of extra textures to draw with. Sure, we've got the paintbrush, but what about Pencil, Crayon, jagged brushes, or even just like a line drawing or zoom function. Not trying to nit pick, I know drawing applications are difficult, just a bit of room to grow.
Took me 3 or 4 apps before I found this one. I didn't have a basic notepad app on my phone with freeform drawing capabilities, so I just wanted a super simple sketch app...amazing how many of those want you to give them access to personal data. I'm just drawing something basic for descriptive purposes, why you or any 3rd party need any info from me? Luckily this app had no such agreement required.
It's simple, useful, and havent run into any ads (yet). I use this as a scratch sheet like the old days w/o the need of using a calculator along with a math app I downloaded to keep my mind sharp. I have it set up the way I wanted to sketch by using finger and erase by shaking my phone. Hence, it is simple, useful, and no interrupting during tasks. I will also use the app to practice my signature since my leases and contract are done on the phone nowadays to electronic signature.
Good app. If you're looking for an app for professional digital art, look somewhere else. However, this app serves its function of being a doodle app greatly! It can be a little wonky at times, but I've gotten used to it. 4/5 stars, I recommend if you just wanna have a space to doodle. (Also, if you want to export your doodles, you have to go into settings and allow it to access your data.)
