excellent app for essentially everyone. DIYer? watch the videos to save money and make repairs yourself. future MVAC or HVAC? Take the 608 & 609 thru the app in your free time. I've gotten my Universal and switched jobs thanks to what I learned on SkillCat. Highly recommended. Keep adding more troubleshooting scenarios or at least links to friendly YouTube videos on topics covered. Us visual learners thank you.

I am trying to take the epa 608 universal exam and I need to access the pt chart on the app while taking it. I click on the chart and it will not let me get out of the chart and back to the exam so now I have 2 failed attempts. I am confident on all the other answers so it's just that that is holding me up. It says I have 2 attempts left before I have to retake the course to take the exam again. I may have to take wrong answers on the pt chart questions. Fix this ASAP please

It was greatly instructive and helpful for a quick review of certain topics. Their training videos are short and concise.

The app worked nicely, and there is a lot of information available. I used it to study for and get my 608 certification, and the process was so easy! They even take care of the exam and proctoring, so you don't have to contact any other program and try to set up a time or go to a center. Made it all so easy. Highly recommend. Went through the entire course and exam in less than three weeks in my own spare time.

Skillcat is pretty cool. Courses are affordable, coherent and convenient. I'm really happy that I discovered them.

this is the best online schooling I have ever attended it's easy well-maintained very knowledgeable for people that don't have a clue about doing HVAC or construction work at all. I have been in construction for 30 years and I am finally working to get my license I couldn't find the time to go be able to go to a school or pay for the tuition to one I hear it's easy I can go to my time off

Exceptional app forEPA 608 learning experience & certification including proctored test within for very low costs compared to all other appointment required proctored tests. I'm so glad to have found this app after some Googling. The certification test in this app is 24/7 so it's very flexible for your time. There's 1-2 day delay for them to complete the proctored reviews of the test and selfie video of applicant.

after touring in bands my whole life. it was time to go into the trades. I dont test or learn very well an always struggled with school. the way the modules are set up, made it very easy to learn at your own pass. the quizzes are super helpful to know when you are ready to test.

This app has made my understanding of HVAC more concrete. It is definitely worth it. Some of the courses in it are overwhelmingly long (especially that epa 608), but still well worth it in the end. The voice in the courses is no Brian Orr, but can be just as lulling as his. If you're not careful you'll fall asleep. The developers are very responsive if you have any problems. All in all this is one of the best apps to better your education and become a better tech.

Just finished the EPA 608 course and found the experience to be great. There is a lot to learn for the universal exam, but the way the app breaks up the modules into small chunks helps keep you engaged without burning you out. It's very easy to pick up and continue where you left off after putting it down. Looking forward to learning more with the app.

AMAZING! Comprehensive, complete, and not overbearing. This is a MUST-HAVE if you are involved in any form of trade work. Especially helpful for the young apprentice looking to advance his knowledge and learn the technicalities of their work. I truly can't find enough great things to say about this app and that means a LOT coming from a critic like me! If you LOVE to LEARN, this is the app to download! Teach your KIDS!!

Overall, great app for EPA 608 Universal Certificate. Nothing beats free. Just a few issues with the app. Some questions on the quizzes get marked wrong when they are correct. Some questions are ambiguous. During the actual exam, I had several questions appear multiple times. Also, occasionally while navigating through the course, it would take quite a while for the menu to appear.

SkillCat has some good training on the app. Some of the more basic stuff is REALLY basic, but maybe some people need it. Working on my EPA Universal, finished my EPA Type 1. If I have a complaint, it's that after finishing a quiz, it doesn't automatically show your score...you must go back to the list of modules, click back onto the quiz before you can see your score. This app is good...and best of all, it is COMPLETELY FREE. Great resource for a new HVAC worker or one wanting to learn HVAC.

Not only is the SkillCat app FANTASTIC, but the team behind it is AWESOME as well. When I first used the android app I found a few bugs and notified the team. THE NEXT DAY they thanked me for the notification and solved the issues. No more bugs! Fast forward a couple of weeks, and I earned my EPA 608 cert yesterday. THANK YOU SKILLCAT! So if you are looking for a fun, flexible, and straightforward way to get trade certs backed by a team who truly cares about what they do - USE SKILLCAT!

Good content and quality. But I mark right choices and they be wrong. You can pick the right answers and it would still say you missed one etc. Lagging after you complete a modules/ quiz. But you can't beat the free. I would of been done on my type one. My type one I had to redo it . Cause the app kept saying not answers then jumps around. But good information..

Recurring issue of not being able to access any courses except the EPA 608 Universal. They contacted me last time (a week ago) to let me know it was a temporary issue that they quickly resolved (and it was, within 24 hours) but it's doing the same thing again. I like this app because I can learn whenever works for me, but lately I don't have that. I'll gladly give the app 5 stars again after they address the reliability issues. If they don't, I'll have to consider ending my subscription.

it's a decent app with several courses available for folks wanting to get into a trade. courses are pretty straightforward and easy. there were several errors and questions in section quizzes that weren't at all covered, but I passed the 608 universal in less than 24 hours. the online proctoring is a huge plus and why I chose it. however, it's pretty slow to load and drains the battery quickly compared to any of my other apps.

Good info but I'm in the middle of doing lessons for universal epa and it won't let me scroll through the introduction. Very dissapointed that I'm paying for this and it doesn't work right. I restarted the introduction and it worked, restarting app did not. To reiterate they have great lessons. But I really don't appreciate how clunky it is to flip through the lessons or how it automatically starts the next one. Half the time it says I completed a lesson when I didn't and it starts the wrong one

These guys and gals nailed it! Been doing construction my whole life, I'd like to think a fast learner as well, and their structure is phenomenal! I once heard "You don't know your trade well enough to teach it if you can't put things in elementary terms". Blows penn-foster outta the lineup, for sure. If your hungry, this is the right one for you 👍.
