Very helpful. Practical things I can use to slightly modify my actions and be more effective.
Reviews for Skillsta: Social skill trainer
← Back to Skillsta: Social skill trainerone heck of an App! I love chucking. started with blinkist but im now exploring Skillsta. Flowers to the developer. runs smooth.
You can't experience any lessons, the app, the layout or how it works with any kind of preview or first lesson free etc. there is zero entering the content and lessons UNLESS you give them your card info. Not another option. So I uninstalled the app. Tacky imo. I get you're trying to profit but that's not the way. At least not with me. 💯
I like it a lot so far. I really didn't expect to but, it's actually teaching me some things I wish I had learned in my young adult years. I guess it's never too late to gain confidence.
Right from the beginning lessons I started becoming aware of areas where I can improve my self-confidence and willingness to explore the untried. Each section is easy to read, with clearly stated points and ends with helpful suggestions. A lot of mental health awareness lies in recognizing how our thinking about situations and our approach to them shapes the realities we experience. I'm glad I saw the ad on Instagram.
This trend of forcing users through endless questions and account creation just to hide pricing is not only annoying but feels intentionally deceptive. I do not recommend.
Please, just be upfront about the fact that it's a paid subscription. I don't want to answer questions or create an account to then be met with a paywall with no free content at all and a trial that depends on me giving my payment info first. Great concept, just be upfront about it not being free at all.
i like the indepth descriptions. the presented bulletin points are very well thought out and insight bringing a better understanding to someone like me who relies on instinctual think patterns that are wired throughout my brain's subconscious.
Better than expected. I was anticipating theoretical information on communication techniques, but I received an interactive mock conversation based on real-world situations at work. You also receive feedback based on how you performed during that scenario. Nice job guys.
very easy and user friendly I just wish it had more courses although I'm still new with this app so it possibly could just be me not knowing exactly how to find everything yet but so far it's great!! Good job for making this app and the best part is it's FREE, really free not free then ask later for a payment not with this app!!!
The app is beautifully designed but there is no free option to use it. All content is hidden behind massive annual subscription fee. Can't buy things once and own it anymore hey?
so far so good. I've answered what I thought was right 3 times and 1 time what I would say. the 3 answers I gave were in the green zone, the one I would say was in yellow, but it gave me usable feedback to course correct. I would recommend this to anyone with the money to pay $8/week that needed to improve social skills. I've only done the first lesson and I see the Intrinsic value it WILL create in your life.
it's really enjoyable to learn what the application is teaching for me and I found out how to be a great conversationalist already although I have only just started with the whole thing in my opinion on the subject, I have a subscription for the application for me already please check it out there are a lot more than I told you about it too much to learn from this one! really great application for me so far! thanks! To anyone thinking of downloading, I think it's important to know that using this app at all requires a subscription. A 3 day free trial is offered, but I would have expected (at the very least) a way to experience the app for more than 3 days without paying. How else can I know if this is helpful in the long run...?
I truly hoped this app would aid in my communication, but not at a cost. ZER0 content access without the 3-day-free-trial ("cancel any-time") which proceeds into a paid subscription. I understand 3 days is a good introduction into the app. If I still don't feel certain about putting money into it after that, then there is no access to content to determine your stance without a subscription. Basically, pay and trust that it's legit material or theres no content.
App is fine, it has good content and it's good to practice some soft skills instead of scrolling Instagram in your free time. But please STOP pushing me with your damned pop-up "we have a gift for you" just because I canceled the automatic renewal of the subscription through Google Play. It's annoying and I've already paid for your service, I don't deserve a god-damned pop-up every damned time I open the app. I'm telling you this as a consumer, but also as a marketing professional.
Just downloaded the app and paid for a 1 year subscription. After using it for a week I highly doubt any of these lessons are going to improve anyone's social skills or make you a more relatable person. Social anxiety is not something that can be cured with an app unfortunately. Also if you refuse the first few offers you will get a 70% discount. I think the developers know that asking you to pay 80 dollars a year for this application is a huge rip off. Seriously do not pay that much.
Well no point to even download because it's impossible to try the app without setting up a reoccurring subscription. Even then the trial is just three days. You're better off buying a book once that probably has more expert backing than this enigma. From marketing and screenshots it's impossible to tell what the actual content is like, how it evolves and whether you'd find it useful. EDIT: There is no 7 day trial. It's a 3 day trial. There's overuse of dark patterns to even get that.
Pro: I have to say, I enjoyed the lesson material, it was good info! it's presented in VERY short reads! A sentence or two, usually on each page! Which makes it easy to understand! Con: The free tier is only 4 or 5 modules, then a payment option for the subscription service, OR cannot continue learning the topic, BUT may choose to start a different one of the other learning topics that are offered. That is the only thing I am not a fan of in the app. I wanted to keep learning my Chosen Subject!
As excited as I was to try this app, I feel like it did not entertain or interest me at all. The first disappointment was the required trial period to even use it. People are still trying to recover from the pandemic and the economy. I'm not trying to spend money on entertainment or new apps. I prefer to spend my money on apps I can play for free. Once I have invested time, I will occasionally splurge on optional purchases to better my experience. IMO. Then, the content was not interesting. 👎
