If you don't live in the US/W Europe most suggestions won't be available. The suggestions seem very arbitrary, seemingly based on the filters you choose only. It's not bad, but since the app claims to be personalized to "your unique skin", it's a let down. Possible allergens seem to bring the score down even if you have no sensibility/allergies. It could be better to ask what products/ingredients work for the user and try matching that info with the suggestions. Search crashes a lot too.
Reviews for Skin Bliss: Skincare Routines
← Back to Skin Bliss: Skincare RoutinesVery good app, but it would be better to have an option to sort saved products and rate them, as well as edit ingredients after the analysis was complete. I noticed that it interpreted some ingredients wrong. Also adding the picture of a product so it looks more like your pre-existing products profiles with the option to favorite, etc. would be nice too.
It's a great app and I love the recommendations but I have just two issues. 1. The "Best match" recommendations are all super expensive and when I set the settings for cheaper options, most come up under "Not the best match" or even "Don't recommend" and it's a little stressing. 2. When you search up products and you set it to sunscreens, you have to leave the search bar, reload and then go back to get rid of that setting. Other than that, it's great! I love it.
They went into detail about all the products and what goes well with every element of your skin. The test was so accurate as well! They have so many products with ratings that I know now what to use,and since listening to this app and changing my skincare routine, my skin is clear for the first time in years!!! You may think it's useless, but trust me, it's not. It might be exactly what you're looking for to find the fault in your routine, and you can easily improve it, cost aware too.
This app has been so incredibly helpful. I've been struggling with my skin for months and had trouble finding products that would actually help and not worsen any of my issues, but now it's slowly but surely getting better and I can keep track of what does and doesn't work. I ended up paying for the subscription as the additional features were really helpful for me, but you can certainly still get a lot of use out of it as a free user. Devs also quickly fix glitches as they arise!
Why did you take so much time to update? I already click unsubscribe when the app wasn't responding. I never noticed any notification or email telling about these updates. Thank god i can resubscribe. This is the best app for skincare by far. I tried some other similar apps & they are just not the same. They didn't have the ingredient compatibility for routine. So glad that the app is back.
I think the "Check Your Progress" feature for the Photo Diary needs some work. It states all of my issues are cleared, when it's obvious from the photos that is not the case. I tried in multiple different lightings and it says the same thing.
USED to be good, now they're too greedy. There's NOTHING to do in the app unless u pay for a subscription.
EDIT: The newest update is brilliant 🥰 I love the smart schedule for products in a routine, as someone who has only a vague idea what I'm doing, that's soo helpful. I have struggled with my skin for the longest time and this app has rescued me!! I never use any product on my face without consulting Skin Bliss first.
This is how to kill your app one update at a time: 1) make it stuck on the loading screen most of the time 2) redo the whole look of the app though not necessary (a classic "fix what's not broken" situation) 3) make the 'analyze ingredients' feature unusable, as it would give an error instead of any actual results 4) make the 'analyze ingredients' a LIMITED feature locked behind a pay wall. I'd been using this app for about 5 years now, but this is where it ends I guess. Oh well.
What i am hopping from this app to analyse my skin condition and my acnes since they have been know to have AI-scan. When i subscribed to the app, totally disappointed. Not only it cannot predict nor see the condition of my skin (I've been to a dermatologist) but also diagnosed false information of my skin. Update: I emailed the support team and still have no email back. At this point I think the manufacturer is just trying to mine money from consumers without giving the experience needed.
I don't like how the products recommended to me does not consider its availability in the country. Like what do you mean this is a cheap option with that fake pricetag. I haven't even heard of that product ever in my country. It doesn’t exist in the online stores available to me either. That turned me off into using this app.
Honestly this app is really amazing. I don't know a lot about skincare but I've learned so much from using it, especially with the routine builder! The scanner is great when shopping for new products as I can easily see what won't suit me I've marked it down a star because there's no way to go back and mark past routines as completed. I often forget to log my routine and I'd like the option to go back and mark it as completed!
I like the idea of the app, but a few important things are missing: 1) if you log a routine and then change it, it retroactively changes it in your diary. It should leave it as is so I can track what changes I've made to my routine. 2) Some very important skincare ingredients are just not available at all, mainly adapalene and tretinoin (the latter is available, but the app only says it's banned in the EU). Some people have genuine prescriptions for these and would like to track them too.
Awesome app! You can analyze ANY PRODUCT you have the ingredients for. If a product isn't in the database you can either take a picture of the ingredient list from the packaging, or copy and paste the list from elsewhere online. I HIGHLY recommend this app. I know they are working on having more products in their database and I'm looking forward to that! Customer service is also very helpful. I hope more ingredients are added too though, such as bakuchiol. Currently it doesn't really register.
The concept is great. But it's a bit out of date. Too many products suggested are no longer available and not enough of newer products are covered. It also seems to mistake combination skin for oily acne prone skin. It's difficult to find products that aren't tailored to one or the other. Products I've managed to find afters years of trial and error were marked as inappropriate and products I absolutely know would leave my skin a mess are recommended.
I much prefer the older version since it allowed you to save and revisit previously searched products, and it was just more esthetically pleasing to the eye. Also, cropping photos was much more functional. The new cropping tool doesn't allow for each side of the photo to be cropped independently. Two starts because being able to easily look up ingredients is still helpful. Just wish some of the old features would be brought back.
Really annoying that now days a lot of things require a subscription. Its hard to use it without a subscription, subscription popup comes up every 2 minutes and 90% of the features are locked behind a paywall. Edit: "unlimited" is a funny way to describe it. I added 5 products in the time I had the app, and during that time, I hit limits for free content several ways. You can only make 1 custom list with 5 items. I understand needing to make money. But being reminded every 3 mins is annoying.
I love how you scan take quizzes on what skin type you are, there are many options and parts of your skin that can be oily to dry, it's very simple and easy. My favorite part is after the quizzes, they suggest products to you with % matches and ratings and tell you how well they'd work on your skin, they're price, what they do, where to apply, ect. Truly amazing!!!😍
This app is such a time and money saver! Though I've always looked for products made for sensitive skin, many of them still left my skin irritated. My skin is also dry, so finding effective moisturizers (that is affordable) is an added challenge. However, having this app let's me easily scan ingredients, and explains why a product may or may not work for my needs. I would love to have something like this for hair care as well!
