I previously gave Skybell a bad review because nothing was working properly for days. After speaking to the 3rd tech, he discovered it wasn't installing properly & and the view was very small. He walked me through the process & it went through. My son uninstalled the old HD & rebooted my cell. Now, everything works as it should & better. I like that I can now block out my tree motion when the wind blows & it sent annoying notifications. It also has different. ring tones. All is good now & happy.

Old app never really worked, new app.. yeah pretty much the same. It's offline 90% of the time while my router says its connected just fine. When it does come up as connected can almost never view live stream. And then if that works it turns the light on which just washes out the image really bad (physically covering the light made a noticeable improvement). Never sends notifications when rung. Not sure why I continue to try and use this after years of nonsense when it just flashes all night...

This current version is stable and works well.

Not sure if this is related to the Pixel + Android 14 (that's what I use) bug that someone reported in another group, all event videos in the apps are with "This video is not available" status and seem ever-uploading. So I basically cannot check any captured video from either button-pressed / motion-triggered / on-demand events. This is very frustrating. I am with the latest version of everything (app, OS). Hope it will get fixed soon or else I have no choice but to switch to another brand.

Migrated my Skybell from the old app to this one. Didn't run into any issues with the migration. I'm very happy to see there's finally a setting to ignore certain parts of the view for motion detection. I was constantly getting notifications for vehicles driving by or my neighbors juniper bush moving in the wind. So far, no nuisance notifications have been sent. Everything seems to be working as intended so far.

Skybell latest version 1.237.12 doesn't allow saving videos to Samsung and Android phones. App just shuts down when downloading videos to phone. Sometimes giving error when app has closed.

it works. and that's great, cuz so do I... I swear I don't just hide in the basement and use this to tell the door dash guy to leave it there... I work, too, guys

Just installed, can't find my location for time zone, can't set up local time, just gmt -5. When I try to change and save the new value, it says saved, but not changing. So, the app is still raw. Previously, I used the old version of the app. It was too glitchy. It didn't save the recent videos, couldn't establish the connection for live video...

Almost a year ago I gave Sky Bell a one rating and not satisfied with the app. Having issues with the new updated version. But customer service / support came thru and was on point. Very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. That's why since then I give them 5 rating. Have some minor issues but support comes thru. I'm very satisfied.

The notifications do not work on this app, I have tried everything! They worked for me for the first day and nothing since! The whole point of a camera doorbell is to see who is at the door. Also the motion detection is very poor, it will pick up a cat but won't pick up humans or cars leaving / entering the drive way which doesn't make sense. I have the motion detection set to the most sensitive and still nothing!

been using skybell for 12 plus years. I don't have the latest and greatest skybell It is the skybell HD which I believe was the second version and yet I'm still satisfied with it. The app just changed for the better as well. Yes I would recommend, a very good product. I bought this product years back because the company was based in America and the product was made in USA as well. I'm not sure if that is still the case but I would hope so when I go to upgrade. 👍👍

Never seems to record video. No matter what, except for very rare cases, it says it recorded a video when someone presses the button, but then the video is "unavailable due to processing; check back later" and that just never resolves and eventually it disappears from the list. I can see the picture from the moment they pressed it, but not the video.

Such a lag when getting notifications. Doesn't pick up the sound very well. And images are delayed and cant view when opening after the person already walked away. Definitely switching soon. Dont recommend this one at all.

Can't migrate to the new app, so now after June our Skybell just won't work. We've tried several times, and always get to the point where it says "your Skybell is migrating, it will be done in 5-30 minutes". Well it's been a week and several attempts, no luck. Tech support was also useless, just telling us to reset our password and saying "well it should be working." I'm buying a Nest doorbell camera, so long Skybell and thanks for all the fish.

I migrated my Skybell Trim to the new firmware and app and LOVE it. So far, everything works better. It used to take forever for the live stream to come up on the app when someone rang the doorbell and sometimes it wouldn't come up at all. Those issues seem to have been worked out. Also, I like the large selection of door bell sounds. We picked the choir one because coming to our house is heavenly (;

A good app. Some issues I have with it: 1) Even though I've set all my settings to show notifications and all my motion sensors to high & 100%, I still don't get notifications for the motion or doorbell rings. Not sure why and not sure how to fix it. 2) When speaking to someone through the app, their voice comes through the phone's head piece instead of speakers. I have an android and not sure why this happening. Other than that, it's a good app and a good device that I've had for many years.

Really poor upgrade. None of the captured videos can be viewed. Always noted as unavailable. Live video does not work. Once you migrate to this POS, you will not be able to go back to the old app that worked just fine. I will add that if you have not upgraded (really a downgrade) DON'T DO IT. Replaced system with a BLINK system. Blink Works fine.

Finally! Usually when an app gets updated, it's very rarely for the better. In this case, it now works 100% of the time! On the old app, I could only view live video if I wasn't connected to my home's Wi-Fi. The old app never notified me of movement or when someone rang the bell. Thank you for finally fixing all the defects and for fixing my buyer's remorse.

After being forced to the new app, my Skybell worked for a day or two. After that, it was blinking red and green for a couple of weeks without ever being able to reconnect. Now, the LED is the color I picked from the old app and no longer blinking. However, no matter how many times I reset it, it no longer sees ANY network connection, and I am no longer able to use this product as intended.

Way better than the old app, but sometimes inconsistent. I often get notifications with a preview image of the recording but when I open the app it will show the image with 4 dots blinking and if I click on it, it says video unavailable and it stays that way for days until the recording drops off due to age. So it's like it loses the video in the cloud, which kind of defeats the purpose. I would say it happens for maybe 1 out of every 7 recordings of so. It's a significant problem.
