Reviews for Slice: Pizza Delivery/Pick Up

Though it is nice to have a seperate place to order just pizza from, the app itself is lacking. 1 - there is no way to sort the locations offered. 2 - the last 2 orders I've placed give an estimated time for the order to arrive. Both times, this estimate is WAAAAAY off. We are talking 15 minutes or more. 3 - after you place the order, you are left in limbo. You don't know if your food is done, out for delivery or delivered. I have to call the location to find out where our food is. Needs updates

I've used it twice. In both cases it reported an error related to saving an address but still then reported success on submitting the order. In one case the staff at the pizzeria were unaware of the order, then found it when looking on another computer. The app reported a delay because the place was "busier than usual," which turned out to be a lie, as the place was virtually empty. Given the extra fee charged on orders to use this option, it's unimpressive.

I went to use this app for the first time I placed the order and I didn't realize they paired me up with a pizza place an hour away. I tried to cancel or adjust the order and they would not refund me the money nor adjust it to the closer place. I tried calling customer service and that was a dead end. Trouble using the app with no customer support is the best way to lose a customer for life. You're better ordering pizza directly through the business. At least you are not just a number to them.

Complete waste of time. Even though I used the app but paid via Google they don't credit you for their rewards program. Customer service is zero help Giving the blurb you went thru Google....yes to pay , but ordered thru the App. So why have the app? To to Google ...at least the points there count. 3 years later and still zero progress. used my points for a large pizza...they send a small ..... complete waste of time and money. there are other services that work better and don't lie.

no customer satisfaction. I've used the app multiple times with no issues but this time we received an incomplete meal (entree ceasar salad with no dressing) so i reached out within 10 mins. they gave a minimal refund. prompted me to ask what happens if the order never arrives or if we get an incorrect order. they said they "would do the best we can". so if it's marked as delivered, they can't refund anything seemingly if it's wrong or to the incorrect address. I will not use this app again.

I tried to make an order with my free redemption. However, the establishment didn't accept the order. I have tried getting that redemption back for 3 days, to all the restaurants, I had prior to trying to use it. They offered credit, which would be less than the pizza I would order! It's also more expensive than other deliveries offered and very few pizza shops even participate anymore. it's hard to tell since they make it impossible to know until you add items in the cart.

It's fine for what it is, but know that you're paying more per item, probably by at least a buck, and that's before the slice 'convenience fee' of another $1.50. Not sure if the up-charge is the business setting the price or slice. Extra money in my pocket is better than yet more of my money for the same transaction in someone else's. Especially the tech company.

terrible app. loses your password then rejects a new password because it's been used before. and then it just spins and doesn't go anywhere. it also defaults to sign up rather than log in, so you enter login info, and it fails, because that email has already been used. I don't want to spend 8 minutes battling login screens just to order some food. I will skip this and call from now on and save $1.49.

3 years later and I still love this app. Pizza restaurants have a great variety of food in my area, so I basically don't need any other delivery app. Easy to use and treats the restaurants better than other online ordering options, and the fees are actually reasonable. Customer service has been excellent every time I've had to contact them, which has not been often. All my little neighborhood joints are on Slice.

Restaurant times are not correct. They will take your money and then cancel the order. It then takes 2 days to receive it back to your account. Currently I'm without dinner or the money I was using for my meal. They could at least offer a free pizza or something for the inconvenience, but they don't care about your experience. They are unbothered by the problems they cause. Will never use again

App is trash. Ordering is easy, they charge a "convenience fee", then proceed to tell you your order is ready more than 35 minutes before the order is ready. Then the inconvenient wait that you won't be reimbursed for. Support is a complete joke. Domino's is just a easy to order from, if not easier. Their Tracker is accurate to the second and no headaches or wait after you're told your order is ready. I've uninstalled, and will never recommend this app to anyone in any capacity!!

Don't believe the no fee claims. I was placing a pickup order at a pizza place near a hotel I was at for the weekend, which had a service fee online. It recommended this app saying "avoid fees" so of course I want to save money so I follow the link and provide my info despite not wanting to, only to get the same fee but find the total price about a quarter more than just using the browser. It's a lie and waste of time. It ended up being almost $2 cheaper, just calling and paying there.

Used to be a great experience, but has gone way downhill. Order tracking is useless, as the last few times I've ordered the actual delivery time has exceeded the estimated time by at least 30 to 40 minutes. Food has been arriving cold, so not sure if that is an app issue or restaurant issue (they use their own drivers). Customers also need the ability to rate a restaurant for EACH order ... not just once!

Okay app, though unless you're ordering a bunch it's cheaper to just pick it up yourself. Ordered a $15 pizza and it was going to be $30 with a $5 tip. Also realised after ordering and wondering why it was taking so long to go through that I misclicked the city next to me. Their "help" contacted me with the driver who told me immediately to contact door dash. When I asked them what to do another agent said, oh its delivered though? yeah to the wrong address 1 hour latet

Used to be a great company/app, but now it's trash. Twice I had issues where a pizza place was either closed or defaulted to a location in the next city over, but slice never issued the refund. "Sorry, we can't do anything. You'll have to talk to the restaurant.". The restaurant say they can't do anything, as slice handles all orders directly. Most of the pizza places I talked to don't like working with this company. I recommend you avoid this company both as a customer and a restaurant.

Slice is good when it works, but too often it is a terrible experience. For starters, literally the only plus side to Slice rather than Doordash is the pizza points angle...but they have no unique marking or symbol to tell you upfront which restaurants participate in that - you aren't told if they're not until you're in checkout phase. And the 2nd and most egregious issue is that unlike Doordash, the delivery drivers they connect you with *never* communicate or update you if there are delays.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Yesterday I ordered a pizza from New York Pizza and I requested it to be delivered and it ended up needing to be picked up and the store did not honor the fact that I had requested a delivery in the app (I called the store to ask about why it can't be delivered like the order requested and they were going to charge me an add'l $3.99 for the delivery! I fault the Slice app plus New York Pizza for this error and I will never use either of them again!

Will never use this app again. Was sent a notification that our pizza was ready, after waiting about 45 minutes, we get to the restaurant and they haven't even put it in the oven. They claim it's the apps fault, they send out the notifications no matter what stage it's in. I blame both parties, honestly. Not the first time we were told it was ready and it wasn't.

App says 30-45 minutes for pickup. You put your order in, it goes to 65 minutes. You message customer service, and they say 30 minutes. So is my food going to be cold if I go when the app says or not done when I get there according to customer service? If you like not knowing, this is the app for you. Numerous times, the place we order from has said Slice cuts your requests off, so check to make sure you get everything. I've been missing dressing numerous times. I will be calling from now on.

Wow. Order tracking vanished in the middle of the order. Customer service interactions started over twice (forgetting that I was mid conversation). They took forever to respond. I had no idea what was going on with the order. It would have been so much better to just work directly with the restaurant. Then I started getting random texts from the restaurant after I asked Slice for help. Not helpful. No value add.
