All previous issues apparently were fixed over time and I doubt most people come back to fix their reviews. Current dilemma is with a new s25 Ultra. The shortcut doesn't show the next time. Just sent dev an email, so we'll see what happens.
Powerful, yet confusing, I love this app for repeating alarms and the customization it offers, but trying to configure alarms on specific dates in the future is immensely confusing, it's not very intuitive on how to accomplish this. There's no manual or explaination on how to do anything inside the app, and the developers website has zero information (even opens to a different domain, "smartsense", that hasn't had any noticeable changes made to it since 2014)
Lots of useful functions. Suggestions: 1. Make it clearer that needing to unlock your phone to silence an alarm is a free version limitation that goes away with paid version. 2. Tapping the alarm icon to toggle an alarm on/off could instead cycle through on/skip-next/off because making it easier to skip a reminder for something you already did would be helpful.
I've tried several alarm apps. I have been using the free app for years and just upgraded to the paid version. I didn't upgrade for better features or less adds, I did it because it costs next to nothing, and shows support. This one is far better than other apps I have experienced. It is very customizable to each users needs. They continually add options that make it even better. Unlike some apps, the updates usually present you with options instead of forcing you to change to a new way when you may have liked the old way better. If you like the app, buy it. I believe this will encourage them to continue taking care of it.
I wish it were available for iOS because my iPad does not have Smart Alarm’s “Skip next alarm” feature, very important if you wake up before a repeating alarm. When I did not know where to find this feature the dev told me in an instant. I got it initially because the alarm volume is independent of system volume. I can also set the volume to increase slowly so I don’t wake up my wife. It has lots of functionality. Please make a version for our iPads/iPhones.
If you are going to use this, make sure you are making regular backups! Most recent update bricked this app on multiple devices (Nougat and Oreo), and it has been having lots of issues that started after the last couple of updates (alarms not working, crashing). After the most recent update, I had to clear all data to get the app to even load and the instant I restored from any of my backups it was back to crashing, had to clear all data again to be able to open it. I discovered I had to uninstall, reboot and reinstall to get my backups to restore without crashing the app and now assigned alarm music is all messed up. Regret paying for this app now, as developer doesn't respond to email or provide direct support of any kind and seems to only be making things worse with updates. This *WAS* the best alarm app on the store, but it's rapidly going downhill and at this point badly needs a UI overhaul too.
This app works extremely well. What I'd love to see is some sort of group schedule option. I have alarms set to remind me each day when it is time to walk out to the bus stop for each kid, and it is set to run every day of the week, but not the weekends. I have 6 alarms total, and any day that the kids have off school I have to go in and "Skip next alarm" for all of them. It would be nice to group them all together and skip them all at once.
99.9% success rate waking up for close to a decade now. Every other app I've tried has frozen or failed. This app has worked on every phone I've had, with the right settings it has come out of accidental silent mode, sounded in headphones and the phone, gotten out of accidental DND mode, everything! About a decade or so ago, I used to take alarm clocks apart in my sleep and stay sleeping. This app has consistently worked and woke me up with zero issues. Tyvm for such an awesome app!
I've been using Alarm Clock Plus for years, and its been the best, But, after an update to my phone, it only works when charging. So searching for something as good took a while and finally found Smart Alarm no ads to be Very similar with all the options, and more,.. and it's working Great. I did find it a bit confusing with the way the instructions are worded with option settings and took a while testing by trial and error. Bottom line IMO, it's a Great app and recommend it 👌 👍
Hands down THE best multiple alarm I have found. Been using the free version for years, and wanted to create more alarms so purchased the app. Great value and worthwile purchase. I tried a lot of other alarm apps before, but always came back to this app. Very nice display, easy to use and customize. Keeps me on track. Highly recommend it.
