I am using this as a timer for watering tomatoes. I use the "Schedule" feature to set six 7-minute watering seven days a week. Randomly, this timer just decides to disable an "On" cycle or "Off" cycle. I am VERY careful not to accidentally switch the setting, and I am very sure they are all set correctly every day because this critical bug keeps happening. I woke up this morning to a 9 hour "On" cycle because it randomly chose not to turn off at the last run of the previous day.

it was fine for a while but then stopped working and kept disconnecting my lights and wouldn't reconnect them. I've tried multiple times and did exactly what it said to do and it still won't work. why the heck did I pay for something that doesn't even last long. normal LED lights last 10 times longer and Im not getting anything else from smart life if they don't fix this.

Terrible design. I spent 15 minutes setting up all the light fixtures and fans in the house, then tested to make sure everything worked. cool. Did the same setup on my wife's phone and it worked as well. BUT - The app wiped the devices from my phone when I added them to my wife's phone. "Removed because of device reset." You have to reset the device to add it to another phone.... But then it removes it from the first phone. So dumb. Basically it'll only work on one phone.

Previous "upgrade" wiped out all my settings, including wi-fi pairing. Had to re-pair the device & re-enter all my settings & scheduled events. Thankfully I was home at the time & not traveling - I use a wi-fi pet feeder to feed my cat when away. AI notifications would be useful if they didn't try to interpret & be cutesy. Raccoons raided the feeder. I was notified "A cute pet is at a bowl - maybe he's hungry." Ridiculous. Not cute, not a pet. It is not the algorithm's job to make wild guesses.

I could go around the house and manually toggle all of my smart plugs before this app even loads. If you like waiting 20 seconds or longer for an app to load so you can control your lights, you'll enjoy this. Sometimes the app can't load at all. Why does the app need to track my location at all times? "Useless" would be an understatement.

I've had 12 lighteningside bulbs connected for almost a year. I go out of town for 2 weeks and come back and none of them work. I've deleted everything. Tried re-adding every and nothing syncs or allows me to control the lights if they do sync. the router & password havent changed. there is no reason for them to stop behaving

Update: The app stops reading the device or it's it visa versa? Whichever it is, it happens over a few months. Solution is to remove the device and re-add it in. Even with updates this still occurs and has from day one. Great app. Would love if you may add seconds to the circulate so can turn things on and off faster. The last update wiped out all my wireless devices. Had to reconnect them all.

the recent update no longer let's me control each light independently. there is a device manager menu (that is hard to find), but it doesn't show whether the light is on or off, and instead you have to go into each light to know if that is the light that is on, and to toggle it off. this new interface after the recent update is horrible, and they evidently removed the setting that reverts back to the old interface. I hate the updates.

the recent update 👎. Defaults to Favorite view. when you tap Favorite, won't do anything. I figured out how to add back all my devices, but now the tiles are all weird. Some are squares (like the top tiles), others are rectangles and take up 2 spots. I wish programmers would give the option of "new" themes or views, instead of mandatory changes. Another star gone. The widget doesn't load my devices. BOOO!

I would give this 5 stars but the gas detector keeps saying offline. my other devices are doing just fine so how is it that only one device keeps going offline. there's almost no help in the app aside from a chatbot. it clearly isn't my network because my other devices maintain a connection. notifications are extremely expensive. if you want phone notifications you have to pay a separate fee from SMS which is even more expensive. thievery!

Your app is 500 mb. Your app does not provide features for me to warrant such a huge amount of storage space on all of my devices for a couple of lights and power strips that I use it for in which some devices are older and can't support the storage space it requires. I can simply go though Amazon or Google Home app for it's functions. With the exception of having to reinstall when new devices are needed. uninstalling after this message.

Update: It's even worse now. When I open the cat feeder, it's just white. Nothing is spinning and no images are loading. This is a very unreliable app. It was a reliable app for two months. No issues. Now it won't load my cats' timed feeders when I open it. It's updated, I cleared the cache, and restarted my phone. It basically spins and spins. Now what am I supposed to do? Do the timer feeders allow another app? Technology is getting very annoying with all the bugs to work with.

Horrible "update". The update lost all the "scenes" that I had created and it does not have the same features as the previous version had: you cannot schedule a change to brightness or color without setting the lights on or off. On the previous version, you could schedule a color temperature change, for example, independently from turning the lights on or off, so it the lights were on, the color temperature would change, if they were off, nothing would happen. Do not update!

We had three ceiling fans and a robot vacuum connected when we moved into our bew home May 2024. Sometime close to the year mark, the main bedroom stopped responding to the app. I've done all the troubleshooting short of replacing the router, but it fails every time. Other than not being able to control the fan and light in our master bedroom, its still a convenient app.

This is a mediocre app. Yes, at first glance it appears to have the desired options, but one of those is based on Sunrise and Sunset (they capitalized one and not the other). You press the location and confirm your address/location on the map... this mostly works. The issue is you've no idea what the app thinks is sunrise or sunset for your location, and I've had the door open because it lost location or thought sunrise or sunset was a very different time.

this app disconnects so often. the first time it happened, it would not connect thru the app so I need to unplug my pet feeder, take out the batteries. then it works for a little while, then disconnect, but each time it got shorter btw each reset, leading to almost immediate disconnection. i was going to give up my petfeeder but saw on reddit the solution is to reinstall the app? thought it was hardware issue, but it'll grant you a long time before entering the above cycle again. not great

Absolute trash of an app. Ever since the lights were installed they never worked correctly. They blink sporadically. They work when they want to. Sometimes they change temperatures or colors by themselves. I spent hours trying to update 4 lights and 2 just refuse to work. I should have spent a few more dollars to have a name brand light and app. The constant flickering every few seconds should be reason enough for anyone to avoid these lights. I'm tearing these out and replacing them.

I have used a lot of smart home devices over the past decade, and only one other brand has come close to being this poor of an experience connecting devices. Instructions in app contradict the ones in the manual and do not seem consistent. Getting through the connection process feels like guesswork, and fail any which way you try, even when reconnecting devices to networks that previously worked.

After the update my lights no longer stay off. After being off for a few minutes, they automatically try to reset and I have to re add them to the app, only to do it again and again everytime I turn them off through the app. I am going to get rid of them now because I can't sleep!! They won't turn off!!! They just freak out and turn on and off and even flash red occasionally. FIX IT!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE!! Update after 2 days of bs: my lights will no longer connect to the app. Trashing them now.

No longer able to adjust schedule (or what they are now calling "timing"). I can schedule something to go ON but can't add any other action to the same device (like OFF) without the app freezing and having to be restarted. Major bug. It appears this applies to the interface for the outdoor power strips. I'm still able to adjust schedules on my indoor plugs.
