I am using this as a timer for watering tomatoes. I use the "Schedule" feature to set six 7-minute watering seven days a week. Randomly, this timer just decides to disable an "On" cycle or "Off" cycle. I am VERY careful not to accidentally switch the setting, and I am very sure they are all set correctly every day because this critical bug keeps happening. I woke up this morning to a 9 hour "On" cycle because it randomly chose not to turn off at the last run of the previous day.

it was fine for a while but then stopped working and kept disconnecting my lights and wouldn't reconnect them. I've tried multiple times and did exactly what it said to do and it still won't work. why the heck did I pay for something that doesn't even last long. normal LED lights last 10 times longer and Im not getting anything else from smart life if they don't fix this.

Terrible design. I spent 15 minutes setting up all the light fixtures and fans in the house, then tested to make sure everything worked. cool. Did the same setup on my wife's phone and it worked as well. BUT - The app wiped the devices from my phone when I added them to my wife's phone. "Removed because of device reset." You have to reset the device to add it to another phone.... But then it removes it from the first phone. So dumb. Basically it'll only work on one phone.

Previous "upgrade" wiped out all my settings, including wi-fi pairing. Had to re-pair the device & re-enter all my settings & scheduled events. Thankfully I was home at the time & not traveling - I use a wi-fi pet feeder to feed my cat when away. AI notifications would be useful if they didn't try to interpret & be cutesy. Raccoons raided the feeder. I was notified "A cute pet is at a bowl - maybe he's hungry." Ridiculous. Not cute, not a pet. It is not the algorithm's job to make wild guesses.

I could go around the house and manually toggle all of my smart plugs before this app even loads. If you like waiting 20 seconds or longer for an app to load so you can control your lights, you'll enjoy this. Sometimes the app can't load at all. Why does the app need to track my location at all times? "Useless" would be an understatement.

I've had 12 lighteningside bulbs connected for almost a year. I go out of town for 2 weeks and come back and none of them work. I've deleted everything. Tried re-adding every and nothing syncs or allows me to control the lights if they do sync. the router & password havent changed. there is no reason for them to stop behaving

Update: The app stops reading the device or it's it visa versa? Whichever it is, it happens over a few months. Solution is to remove the device and re-add it in. Even with updates this still occurs and has from day one. Great app. Would love if you may add seconds to the circulate so can turn things on and off faster. The last update wiped out all my wireless devices. Had to reconnect them all.

the recent update no longer let's me control each light independently. there is a device manager menu (that is hard to find), but it doesn't show whether the light is on or off, and instead you have to go into each light to know if that is the light that is on, and to toggle it off. this new interface after the recent update is horrible, and they evidently removed the setting that reverts back to the old interface. I hate the updates.

the recent update 👎. Defaults to Favorite view. when you tap Favorite, won't do anything. I figured out how to add back all my devices, but now the tiles are all weird. Some are squares (like the top tiles), others are rectangles and take up 2 spots. I wish programmers would give the option of "new" themes or views, instead of mandatory changes. Another star gone. The widget doesn't load my devices. BOOO!

I would give this 5 stars but the gas detector keeps saying offline. my other devices are doing just fine so how is it that only one device keeps going offline. there's almost no help in the app aside from a chatbot. it clearly isn't my network because my other devices maintain a connection. notifications are extremely expensive. if you want phone notifications you have to pay a separate fee from SMS which is even more expensive. thievery!
