Seeing how this is the only way to enter my home and the app won't open, it sucks. Sometimes the app (when it was working) would say lights were on when they weren't. But right now my biggest frustration is that I cannot get the app to open. It acts like it's opening, but nothing happens. So I can't edit my schedule for my thermostat and I can't give people temp access codes to get into my apartment. Super frustrated as this has been going on for two weeks now. I've even tried uninstalling.

It'd be cool if it works, but you cannot rely on it. Our apartment put in SmartRent a while ago, and yeah I would like to be able to have a programmable thermostat and it is convenient to turn off lights from your phone if you forget while out. But it never stays working. This is the 5th or 6th time the thermostat is 'offline,' and I am tired of it. I never wanted to live with 'smart-home' tech to begin with and SmartRent has only solidified that opinion.

Forced to get these damn locks by my complex. Didn't want them because I knew this electronic garbage would not work properly. 1st couple days fine, after that I get a message more than 10x a day of a jam. Every other time I get the message I have to re-log into the app. Very annoying. This happens whether I use the app or manually lock. "0" stars really.

Logs out after I close the app or don't use it for a time. Honestly takes longer to enter my home than to ise my keys at this point. Terrible product. Their solution is to "just turn off finger print scanning" instead of actually fixing the problem. [EDIT] I saw a representative say the logging out bug is im the works, it must have been in the works for over a year now because that's how long I have been dealing with it.

Features do not work. I have Stay login enabled but I have to sign in every time. When I use Biometrics it prompts me to login with username and password and then biometrics. So I login twice. The current temperature/humidity inside never updates. It always says 68 degrees and 28% humidty. Changing the temperature is not always reliable either. Sometimes I can lock/unlock the door and change the temp. Super frustrating app.

App is worse than useless. For the door locks it has no ability to set your own access codes (to your own home!), I don't know of any home security system that does not have that feature. For the thermostat it makes it un-programmable, it's simply not possible to set schedules. A significant downgrade from the old systems I had.

Ever since the update the other day, I can't connect to the system 70% of the time. Sometimes it will ask me to hit "retry" and then connect, but now it won't respond and keeps saying I'm offline, when I'm connected to wifi and have cell signal. Really frustrating when it's the only way to keep the thermostat in auto mode and set the min and max temps. Worked fine prior to the system update.

Horrible app overall and the latest update made it worse. Very long latency, whenever I click a device there's a lag of several seconds before and further action/presses are recognized. Thermostat device in app is longer in sync with the actually thermostat and can't be controlled even after force quitting the app, clearing cache, and restarting the phone. Update: app performance is as bad ever. Constantly out of sync with smart lock and thermostat. Support articles don't populate either.

Even with the stay signed in option turned on, I have to sign in every single time. After signing in, it always ask for turning on Biometric login. I've enable the biometric login every single time I logged in for years; I've tried logging in after disabling the biometric a couple of time, just to be sure. It never worked! I'm tired of this login issues. Fix it!

My apartment complex uses this and it's the worst system I've ever had to use. Rarely shows the correct temperature to match the thermostat. System is very slow to unlock doors, we can hit unlock in the car, walk 3 flights of steps and still be locked. Once inside you'll hear the door randomly unlock minutes later. Maybe it'll turn a light on, maybe it won't, this app is almost useless 90% of the time.

Not a super fan. If I have a schedule set for the thermostat to cool during the night and slightly higher in the day. Why is it than when I check it, its set higher than either of those schedules? The activity feed says "schedule skipped already on auto" so fine I change it to one schedule, just to make sure its set cooler at one time. Can't handle that either! Same error too. 78 is decidedly not what I want it to default to when it decides the schedule isn't king. Still give those reps a raise!

Latest update fixed the issue of me not having control through the app on anything. HOWEVER, that didn't last long. It's once again starting to give me a message on anything I click on "This is taking longer than expected" and only let's me dismiss the message, then never does anything. It's frustrating because it's telling me a lock is open, and I try to lock it through the app, and it gives me the error, then still says it's unlocked. So now the whole point of the app is useless. IRRITATING.

The app was working fine before but since last 1 month, it's making me sign-in everytime I open the app and it's getting really annoying. Update 12/31/2024: The previous issue was resolved and the customer service worked with me. It was a great experience. But, since the past few weeks, maybe after an update, it's taking a lot of time to load the main interface. It keeps getting stuck at the logo as soon as I open the app. Happening on other device as well.

When the app is running, it's very useful. I've had problems in the past where the app wouldn't sync to my smart items, luckily I was able to talk to someone who walked me through the steps to sync and thevpersin was patient (this is why 3 stars was given). I am now having to find myself restarting my phone every other day in order to use the app. This is frustrating and time consuming.

Terrible. For the benefit of--being able to let in a dogwalker while you're at work?--every time you enter your home can be slightly less convenient, with the added benefit of the need to worry about batteries and connectivity to make sure you can get into your home. From a purely technical standpoint, the app routinely fails to change locked/unlocked status (while the door does indeed lock), meaning that the app needs to be toggled back and forth to simply unlock a door. And at least in my building, the bluetooth/RFID entry simply does not work. You may as well start memorizing however many codes you need to get into your building, unit, public areas, etc. This is useful only to property managers while making life more difficult for residents with no discernable benefits to security or convenience. The most frustrating part is that if you are reading this, you almost certainly have no choice but to use it.

This company violated my renter's rights. They refused to comply with simple requests. Their legal team either doesn't exist or is incapable of communicating with customers. App provides limited information, and doesn't properly track or provide data on when your door is unlocked, so there's no way of knowing when someone has entered your home. Their devices are finicky, and regularly malfunction. Tried contacting support but haven't gotten resolution for two months and counting.

app works very slow even wheb it works. Since the last update I cant connect through the app. will not allow me to sign in. I've uninstalled and re installed the app. tried everything. only thing support says when I emailed them was to use the most updated version.... I have been and thats when the issues started. absolutely useless company and we rely on it to send and receive info with the leasing company.

A/C temp on app doesn't sync up correctly with the thermostat. Sometimes my app will say the heater is on the when the thermostat is set to cool. Other than that... meh 12/24 App has been updated. Still doesn't sync up. Unfortunately for me, I don't want to spend what little time I have on the the phone with technical support. You know the issue, from other reviews as well. Please just fix Update; now it doesn't save my network everytime it disconnects from the wifi, making it hard to unlock

I despise that my apartment complex installed this system. The lock has been unresponsive in the app for months. It also frequently bugs out and jams as well, meaning sometimes my door won't lock or shut at all. The system itself eats batteries like they own stock at Duracell. The light system gets stuck, too, so sometimes my kitchen lights just won't turn off or on at the switch nor the app for days until we can get a tech out. What I would give to have a normal key and lock again.

The app works most of the time but the one major inconvenience we have had is that there isn't any detailed usage reports. The only detail given is when someone has changed the thermostat. This creates expensive problems. For example, others' kids or adults living with you may not be monitoring the air conditioning where they reside in the house as well as you might, leading to the air constantly running in that area and over taxing the AC system until it breaks.
