Been using the SmartRewards app by EG America for a couple months now. It’s basically a rewards program that lets you earn points for things like fuel purchases, in-store spending, and even tobacco buys. Pretty solid if you do a lot of shopping at EG stations.
Here’s what you do – just enter your mobile number when you check out and it automatically racks up points. You get $1 in rewards for every 25 points, which you can then redeem anytime by tapping ‘Activate My Reward’ in the app. There’s also some other cool perks like 10 cents off per gallon and 99 cent drinks.
Look, if you’re the kind of person who’s always at the gas station or convenience store, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little glitchy sometimes – but overall it does the job of making your everyday purchases a bit more rewarding.
